I read an article posted here last year about the "winter effect" on some teams. If I am not getting this wrong, it should be like this: A team in the south or hot area (eg Mia, TB) visiting the North boarder teams, and if the stadium is outdoor, it qualify. I remember the ATS for the home team is something over 70%, do somebody remember this?

Please help, I don't even know which team's stadium is outdoor or indoor. Thanks.

Not trying to be a smart:moon: BUT........ If you don't know the INDOOR team from the OUTDOOR teams, the you probably shouldn't be betting on ANY of them!

JUST MY OPINION!

From 1987 - 2002 in weeks 14, 15, 16, 17, 18 (in '98 there were 18 weeks in the regular season):

The following Northern teams are 11-6-1 ATS against the following Southern teams.

North: Cleveland, Buffalo, Green Bay, Chicago

South: San Diego, Houston, Jacksonville, Miami, Arizona New Orleans, Tampa Bay.

Could have included other northern cities such as NY and Philadelphia, Pittsburgh, etc but decided to pick only the worst weather cities.

Worlhead, just my opinions, to be a winner in sport betting, you don't need to know a lot in order to win. More you know, more you lose, believe it or not, all you have to know is a few theory. It only applies on basketball or Football only, because they're using Spread line, and one thing, sport are fake, you just need to know who they want to win ATS, so you bet on that side.

Ya ViGor, I remember the winter effect system from last years playoffs.

"Tampa Bay has never won when temp. was less than 40 degs."

" Green Bay has won 30 something straight playoff games in the frozen tundra of Wisc."

So what happened?

T.B. goes into Philly and oust the favs. Temp. mid 30s.

Atlanta enters the frozen tundra as 6 1/2 point dogs and hands G.B. their ass.

Find better reasons to bet a team than that.

Good luck the rest of the way.

ViGoR,

I agree with you that the more you know the more it hurts you. I am strictly a system player. Let the linemakers worry about injuries, etc. All of that will be built into the line. But I have to disagree with your implication that the games are rigged...if that were true it would be found out and if it were found out most people would discontinue betting it.

My brothers "study" injuries and past scores and suck up all the sports media hype and are thus usually losing money. The media is everything but objective and it colors their view of how great or crappy different teams are. I play my system, take horrible sides nobody in their right mind would take and win more often than not.

Now how about Denver as a host to warm weather teams?

Again, between 1987-2002 (regular season only) in weeks 14+

3-5 ATS
