Let me preface this, I have a good wife....
no, actually I have a great wife... but man can she push my buttons at times......
I'm a simple guy, I ask a question all I want is a simple answer.....Seems easy enough, BUT NO,NO, NO......I also seem to get the full commentary revolving around my question but rarely an answer about said question which always lead me to say, "that's nice but back to my original question".....
Last night we're talking about my son going to college next fall and his grades.....He recently retook his SAT's and did considerably better the second time around which obviously helps with placement and potential scholarships .....He told us his updated Math & Reading score results last night but didn't need to retake the written portion....
So looking at the Colleges on his Wish List I see the "Average SAT Scores" to get in.....Ok, we have his updated Math & Reading scores, now comes my "question" to my wife......What is his written score so we can add and compare SAT Scores to what acceptable for the school, seems pretty easy right?
WRONG.....I get the whole run around on why he retook the test (pretty sure I already knew this, we're married with the same said son looking to go to college), how the numbers reflect on potential admission of colleges (good to know, thanks for breaking what we have discussed over the last few weeks) and that he can still retake going forward (beautiful, what's another $50).......
So I calmly reply, "back to my original question....What is his written Score?"......Her reply, "I don't know" we'll need to call the school in the morning......
Fast forward to today....We tour Husson College, very nice school awesome programs and a great fit for our son.....Bonus feature they had a Buffalo Wing Bar at lunch!!!
So on the way home we are chatting about dinner, leftovers.....There was spiral ham, mashed taters, squash...I ask if there was any green bean casserole leftover from last night? My wife say there was a half a can of beans in the refrigerator.....Ummmm, ok?.....I take it the casserole is gone?...."Yes"
She offers to make another batch, I said thanks but the squash was fine.....So to keep the conversation going, I said the casserole was really good, "did you drain the water from the beans before adding the mushroom soup?....Pretty simple question right?........WRONG
I get, "you take and two cans beans, add one can of mushroom soup, then add one cup of mike and heat on the stove top.....once it's heated pour into a baking dish then add can french onions over the top and bake for about 20 mins.....you can also add cheese while baking which is good too.....
Um' thanks, but back to my original question...."Do you drain the water from the can of beans????"
The this is the reply I get....." you seem like you're in a bad mood, is there something wrong".......
