While it looks plainly obvious that the Ravens are struggling mightily I do not believe that Elvis Grbac is the problem for the Ravens.

Grbac's numbers are down from his great season last year in KC, because of many factors in Baltimore. No one player in the league was more valuable to an offense than Jamal Lewis. He was the key to their defense, because with him they chewed up clock and played field position, and kept the defense fresh. Without him they have become a pass first team and run second.

Adding to the problems of the Raven's is Sharpe's inability to practice full out with his weak knees that will force him to retire.
Travis Taylor's half ass patterns are a major problem for Baltimore.
Quadry Ismail is the only consistent playmaker, and his hands have let Grbac down of late.
Brandon Stokely has overated speed.

The key to the demise of the Ravens is the O line. Except for OGDEN they get beat all the time and allow untouched defenders to tee off on Grbac. With the protection he makes the right reads and can get the ball into playmakers hands. Look at how he connected with TONY GONZALEZ, and resurrected Derrick Alexanders career.

Finally many of the problems is with Brian Bilicks ridiculous playcalling, he can't try to run the wide open offense with no running game and weak pass protection. If he took the same approach with Grbac as he did with Dilfer, Ravens would do better.

Grbac is a very good QB, but it's a team game, you can't single out one individual for a team's poor play. Sharpe and Taylor, and Ismail all dropped passes yesterday, running backs couldn't get in from the 1 on numerous occasions, O line gets beat every play and their punting game was brutal. This is a team effort and blame cannot be put on the Qb's shoulders.

Grbac has looked lost. I think the biggest problem was a poor O-line and no Jamaal Lewis. How many times has a QB gone on to a new team and instantly produced?

I may have to flip a coin or call Miss Cleo on that Balt Fish game.

Jay Fiedler or Elvis?

Terry Allen or Lamar Smith?

Defensive has been or injured defense?

The egomaniac or the crooked mustache?

Better find a long snapper.
