I'm sure that's all there is to the story. He was just minding his own business when a call about an armed assailant came in and he thought to himself, I'm going to set the example. I'm going to go in without back up and talk him down. Suddenly a ringing in his ears and he thought to himself don't shoot, because there's always 2 sides to the story.
