They've made numerous errors over the past year which have cost me money.

Just last week an operator placed the wrong bet for me (over the phone). I had two fh overs: nj fh over and clev fh over (and a third play). This was about 2 weeks ago.

The plays went 2-1 and so I made money. Wrong! The stoopid operator placed nj over fh twice instead of clev over fh. So they had me at 1-2.

I called (and after being put on hold for about 20 mins), they said the only thing they could do for me was to void one bet. I'm like what?? How about crediting the over fh clev bet -- which was a winner!

They wouldn't b/c they don't tape their phone calls ... I'm like ur operator read back "clev fh over" and put in over nj fh ... twice. So I'm being penalized for her mistake!!??

Why would I bet over nj fh over twice ON THE SAME PHONE CALL?? Why wouldn't I bet the game for twice as much instead of playing it twice with the SAME FUQIN OPERATOR.

Such assholes.

And today ... I had over 91 in the second half for the det/ind game. Well, they graded it as a loss when there were 91 points scored. The play was a push ... not a loss.

I've been on hold for 15 mins now ... 24-hr response, my ass. I just emailed them as well.

I know they will fix it ... no problem.

My CONCERN is: don't they have an internal audit system in place?? Probably not! Garbage book!

Had I not gone through my statement -- which I don't always do -- I would have never caught the mistake. Same thing happened during last year's World Cup. They graded a play wrong and I happened to catch it TWO days later.

Had I not called them, the loss wuld have stood. I can't believe that a sportsbook doesn't have a checks-and-balances system in place.

Just wondering how many people they've cheated over the years.

Going to post this message (today and tomorrow) on all the forums I know off. People should know.

I've had it with them! Not only don't they know how to grade games properly, but their server keeps going down!

Wouldn't be surprised if the server goes down on SuperBowl Sunday.

Lame excuse for a sportsbook. (I've been on hold now for 25 minutes). Too funny.

Calling in bets vs. Placing them online

Calling in bets vs. Placing them online

I usually place my bets online. But sometimes I'm on the road and need to call them in. Regardless, if SIA is a bona fide sportsbook, it shouldn't matter if I place the bets online, over the phone, or via smoke signals! ;-)

Ok, kidding about the last one.

Just frustrated with them and think potential customers should know about their problems (in spite of their "whacky" lines).

I hear yah I'm very small time compared to most in here and I tried to get in for about an hour today and couldn't. Bet what I had left and lost:( But won't use them again. Will go to Olympic or Pinnacle as they seem to be the ones of choice. Where you gonna go?

I've had SIA since they opened. While their customer service does suck, I've never had them grade a bet wrong. I know that I've had better lines on many games there than anywhere else. I've also never had any problem getting paid (I do have a withdrawal pending now) in the past. Bottom line, if u want a sportsbook with sexy operators and good customer service, sign up for canbet or one of the Euro books, not sia because they don't have it. What they do have is an easy to use interface and great lines. I've noticed the book being slow at times, but I've only been totally blacked out of the site 2 times in all these years.

As far as Oly goes, I can't beat them, and they aren't going to get any more of my money! :p GL!

I'm with you Clint. I like their lines and always been paid. Now I will say I keep only prudent amount there. But over I like em.

Plus I don't put much confidence in poster who signs on here with only intent to bitch about a book. 2 whole posts.1 to sign up and 2 to

Hey DTB,

I don't give a flying fuq if u don't put any confidence in my posts.

I was simply posting to let people know about my TRUE experiences about a particular book.

I thought that was supposed to be the point of a forum ... to educate fellow gamblers!

I may not play a $1000 a game or anything like that, but when I play $250 on a game (total, actually), I want it to be graded properly.

If u think I'm making this sh*t up, then you're an ass!

$250 a game might be small time for you, but I like to manage my bankroll and when a sportsbook goofs up continuously and fuqs with my money, I'd like to let folks know about it.

Good luck.

Hey Vinny,

Sorry to hear about your account.

I have four other accounts (wsex, olympic, pinnacle, and carib). Personally, I luv wsex the best. They're reliable, have decent lines, and I get payouts in 24 hours.

Carib is great too, but too sharp, imo. They've taken enough $$ from me over the years. :)

I would recommend wsex.

Good luck whatever u decide.

BTW: sia still has not graded that game properly EVEN after I sent them an email and called them back on Sunday morning. Figures.

I have 4,000 with sia (started with 2500 over two weeks) ... been with them for almost 10 months. Thinking of closing up shop and looking at pinnacle. Someone posted that they have 5 cent juice for basketball ... dunno if that's true, but if it is, I'm there. Good luck.

Vinny,

oops ...pinnacle not one of the 4 I have, but rather a book I want to join.

Any thoughts about it?

Thanx in advance.

Customer....I'm not Vinny, but I have Pinnacle & I think you will like them. Not as sharp as Carib & Olympic. Reduced vig on almost everything except tease & parlays & the software runs efficiently. Haven't had the need to check out their customer service, yet, as everything has gone smoothly with them for the past year.

Customer,

Don't come on here calling out DTB. He is like the grandfather of Posting forums. SIA is a solid out if you play small and either break even or lose. If you beat them up a little they shut ya down quick. You get the famous email saying you are not the type of player they are looking for email..... There is no question that they have the weakest lines on the net.

TV, when u know u can't win at a book, u shouldn't deposit anymore since there are plenty out there. If I have the over, both teams shoot below 40% from the stripe and somebody misses a dunk at the buzzer that would have won my bet. When I have the under, the game goes into overtime, when I have the favorite, they get get beat outright, when I have the dog, the game goes to overtime and the fav then covers, if I have a baseball over, the score is 9-5 after 5 innings and then gets rained out therefore cancelling my bet, if I have the under, it goes to extra innings and the away team scores 6 runs in the top of the 10th, etc, etc, etc.

btw, I got my check from SIA in 5 working days drawn off an American bank, and it cashed with no problem.

They stole over $1,000 from me. Details available for whoever wants them. Wouldn't touch that piece of crap with a 50 foot pole, unless it was to whack 'em with it. Bunch of felons, thiefs, etc. Take your money out and avoid them like the plague.

the sharpest book???

the sharpest book???

PINNACLE is by far the sharpest book.

Why do you think their vig is so low?

LMAO.

If you win, dont bother with SIA unless you know enough people with accounts to hide your plays. THEY WILL KICK YOU OUT for playing their dogs, and it's just a matter of time before they rip you or someone else off. I dont understand why they dont wager on the same games that their winning customers do, instead of kicking them out, they have easy access to consistent winners (even though this is not an acceptable practice for the industry, but SIA is a JOKE!!)

SIA's RIDICULOUS lines are bad for the industry, the only purpose they serve is for another source to easily see who the majority of the public is on. SIA pisses me off because they basically hang lines they WILL NOT HONOR. If they have a +/-15 when the rest of the offshores have +/-13.5 why would I not want the +15? But they basically tell you with their notorious email that "We will only take your business if you wager on the -15 when everyone else has -13.5", BAIT AND SWITCH!!
WHAT A JOKE-- no, WHAT A BUNCH OF LYING THIEVES.
