I keep reading that the Dolphins are the public play, yet everyone in here seems to be on the Chargers and I just don't understand it.
It is very easy to see why the Dolphins lost to the Pats last week. Miami's strengths are it's run game and rush-D. It's weakness it it's pass-d. So, lo and behold, they get beat by a team that relies heavily on the pass and gives up less than 90 per game on the ground. This week everything plays into the Dolphins hands. The San Diego rush D is giving up 137 YPG on the season so Ricky should be able to get going. On the other hand, the Chargers are fairly balanced between the pass and run, but against a Miami D that only allows 69 YPG on the ground, they will have to pass. I'm sick of hearing that Griese will be a big factor in this game, it's all about BREES. If he can avoid the INTs that have plagued him thus far, then they have a chance. But I don't see it.
And don't tell me that the Dolphins have been just as inconvenienced as the Chargers by the change in venue. When you go on the road, you expect to never be comfortable, so the fact that they've had to move around in the last 36 hours shouldn't be an issue at all. The Chargers meanwhile, for one thing have had a huge distraction right at home and while they were originally expecting to be able to just show up at the stadium well rested at 2 today now they've had an unexpected road game. Anyone in Chicago can tell you from last year how a team performs at their "home away from home". Add into the mix the fact that somehow most Monday night games this year have been blowouts and you have a recipe for another one tonight.
All over Miami -6.5
