Northern Iowa comes into tonights contest losing both games to the Evansville purle aces during the regular season, with each game being decided by 4 points or less. I am a firm believer that it is hard to beat a team 3 times in one season, although it's been done before, but mostly by superior teams. Evansville sports a Road/Neutal site SU record of 1-12, while Northern Iowa has a 5-10 Road/Neutral site. Evansville loses their games by a margin of -9.8 points per game, and Northern Iowa averages a -1.8 losing margin in games played. Given the double revenge agnle plus the short line of NO Iowa -4, i'll take my chances the purple aces come up short in this affair, buy a 6-9 point margin. GL to all

I don't have a side yet for this game. At first, it looks like UNI is the play. But these teams are going in different directions. It looks like Crews have finally got the attention of his Evansville team. There's no way they should have had this poor of a record. The game at Illinois St. really impressed me.

Looking at the season stats, UNI is clearly better. Looking at the last 5 games, things tend to even out. Teams have shot well against Evansville all year. in UNI's last 5, they have a fg% defense of 50.6%. In the 2 games against Evansville they were outrebounded 37-63! Rebounding isn't something that usually comes and goes like shooting. Evansville's 6-11 center presents horrible match-up problems for the undersized UNI.

For UNI to win, they have to win the turnover battle. (Which they are quite capable of doing). And hold down the Aces shooting % (which they haven't been able to do lately).

I'm leaning toward Evansville. Just some food for thought. Wish you luck.
