Hi Gang,

Time for Wednesdays plays:

TUESDAY RECAP:
2 unit picks.......0-2...... -4.40 units
5 unit picks.......1-0...... +5.00 units
total +.60 units

YTD 2002
2 unit picks.......2-2....... -.40 units

5 unit picks.......1-1....... -.50 units
total -.90 units

Thanks Jack, for the opportunity to post and share ideas with the best sportspage on the net!!!

Providence -3 @ West Virginia:

We all know that WV is in terrible turmoil! Has that been rectified? Who knows!
What we do know is that WV has yet to win a conf game this year.
Providence has covered 4 out of last 5 against the spread. Prov's last 3 have been real gut check games, and the experience from those games makes this one that much easier. I look for an even number of boards by each team, with Prov's better shooting % being the difference.
I like *********Providence -3 for a 2 unit wager*************

Virginia Tech @ Villanova -11:

Virginia is 0-8 on the road this year, and have picked the wrong place to try and avert #9. Tech has lost 9 of last 10, SU , by an average of 13.3 points.
Villanova shoots 50% at home, and is coming of of a big win against ST Joes. This might be the springboard that allows them to start stringing along a few wins.
Nova has not been outrebounded in a game since Trigger was a pony! After the 3 tough road games, I think Nova can enjoy some home cooking with an EASY win against VT.
I like ***************VILLANOVA -11 for a 2 unit wager******

Louisville @ Memphis -10:

Louisville not much of a road warrior, losing 5 out of 6. on the other hand, Memphis has been nails, winning 5 of last 6 at home, with the lone loss to ARK. Which, by the way, is the only loss in the last 10 games.
Louisville has won the last 3 matchups, but I look for Memphis to right a lot of wrongs here. Memphis seems to thrive on not only beating teams, but punishing them.
Memphis shooting almost 50% from the field in the last 5. I look for a trip to the woodshed here!!
I like ****************Memphis -10 for a 2 unit wager ******

Loy Marymount @ Pepperdine -15:

Katie bar the flippin' door!! This will be U-G-L-Y !! I show Pepper winning by at least 25 points, maybe more.
There are about 5 teams in the country as bad as LM.
Pepper is 7-1 at home for the year, and haven't beat these guys by less than a dozen the last 6 outings!!
Pepper has won 9 of last 10, with lone loss @ ARIZ. This team is clicking on all cylinders right now , and will CRUSH this 2nd tier DIV 1 pretender!!!
I like ************ Pepperdine -15 for a 5 unit wager*********
Hope my write ups aren't toooo long, but I like to give my reasons for a play. PLEASE contribute with your news and views on my picks. We are here to help each other. Good Luck to all!! DD :) :)

Well, Well, Well..........................................

I guess the new face calling the shots motivated a dead WV team.
I gues it helps when you get 43 free throws compared to 20!!!!!!
That is an unusually large disparity!!!!!!

Loss #2; Villanova has a double digit lead ALL frickin' game, and , as always gets outscored 9-3 in the last 1:09 to blow the F*(kIn9 cover. I wish I could get a DEAD HORSE to make a backdoor cover. Of course, 52% at the FT line will always come back to haunt you!!!

This is absurd!!!!!!!!!!!!!:( :( :(

OMG!!! Louisville shoots a 3 at the buzzer with Memphis up 10, and it does a swirlie, and POPS OUT!!!! Wrote my post up last night, but by betting time tonight with my local, the line was 9. I finally got a break!!!!:moon:

Pepperdine made me look as if I actualy knew something!! They won by the 25 points that I had predicted. It's nice for a change to win one from start to finish, and the outcome never be in doubt!!:D

todays totals +2.60 units

YTD 2002:

2 unit plays 3-4 -2.80 units

YTD totals + 1.70 units

****NOTE: All of my plays are made locally, and my "guy" uses
Feist lines as of 6:30pm that day. So my bets will
always reflect the moved line, regardless of good or
bad. Today the line went down to 9 on Memphis,
and 14' on Pepperdine. However I will still play my
posted picks, no matter which way the line moves!!
