why does so many people have anger for this guy? I'm not a big huggins or uc fan ,but alot of people hate this guy.:shrug:
i think he is a riot personally.....one of the funniest guys to watch....him and Knight bring the soap opera to the college basketball interview.....
also....what is up with the SEC????

ky has rallied around the wagon, but I think they run into a buzz saw in maryland, we will see, it's been another great ncaa tour.and baseball is right around the corner,got to love it.
i woudda said you were crazy a couple months ago....but now i think so too.....heard him on an interview here in Houston a couple weeks ago and from the hints i picked up on, Hugg is outta town.......

no.....i do not like Rome much.......he is real big behind the mike and criticizes anyone.....but then to their face he kisses ass.....do not like those kind of people....

damn right he is a great coach,cinn isnot the easiest place to recruite,right in the middle of big ten and big east and sec country
very hard school to get players in any sport there,and he has done it and he is also a great x's and o's man. people crack on his teams but they play great deff most of the time and donot turn ball over and really never has.
in any sport off is for show but deff and team work makes the dough 95% of the time in all sports.
good deff opens up off in sports due to other team making mistakes under pressure and pressing, thats why maddux pitches so good because guys swing at the first pitch trying not to fall behind and thats with any goodvpitcher if you start out 0-1 your batting avg just dropped 70 points. pitch ahead and you will see winning teams,play great deff in fb and hoops and you will see winning teams and hugg lives on deff and off runs from the deff.

hugg is one of my favs.....i know the guy can flat out coach but his personality is a riot......when i watch cincy games, i look to see what he is doing every time the camera flashes by......Hugg gets a bad rap for not graduating people but that is complete garbage....why is it his responsibility?....if when i went to college, if i flunked out, whose responsibility would it be? the R.A.? the professors? nope....it would be my responsibility.....coaches are not responsible for guys dropping out after basketball....they would not be in college if it weren't for basketball most likely (the ones who drop out)....it is the individual's responsibility.....
Hugg can coach, Knight can coach, Kryzywyskikzwkz can coach, Roy can coach, and many others can coach.....they all have their own styles and the media tries to make each person into a robot -- some bland robot who does everything the "normal" way.....what a bore that would be....when Roy or coach K gets emotional at the end of the year they get laughed at.....when Knight gets emotional he gets absolutely ripped.......Knight gets more flack for yelling and screaming and showing his emotions than do most people in the news who commit serious crimes. Oh my, Knight grabbed someone's throat!!! The offense!!!! Have any of these people ever played basketball??? Things Knight gets criticized for happened almost every day when I had coaches....and you know what???? it made us tough......today people want every one to be a puss. Oh no, he choked him!! I still laugh my ass off at people who get all worked up about that. Boot camp turns boys into men and they are Bob Knight times 10....is boot camp bad for people? Then why is Knight? Knight cares about each of his kids to a huge extent and 99% of the kids leave him as a better man than when they first started. And 99% of them will testify to that. Yet, 99% of the media who know nothing but their feminization of America propaganda errrrr textbooks will tell us different.

I'm embarrassed. I've never had a team play that lackadaisical. How many times did they take the ball right out of our hands? It was a lack of mental toughness, and that's very disturbing. If I could read what's in their little pea brains I could make a lot of money."

Huggybare is a good coach.A great motivator with "we'll take no prisoners" attitude.He is one of the top teachers in the game on teaching "motion offense".At clinics thats usually his topic.I got to see him twice in clinics and he has everyone laughing their butts off but also learning something.
Of course he says what he feels and that gets him in trouble.His graduation rate I think is still at zero in 10 or 11 yrs.The joke with Cincy are "he has more guys in the police blotter then he has guys going to classes.
His players love him and he is a no nonsense person.I always remember him telling a story about his 1st coaching job at a small college.'You can make a lot of mistakes coaching but with 200 people in the gym no one really cares".
