My wife and I are needing a "get out of town" weekend trip to relax and we are considering driving to Toronto. We would like to stay at a hotel downtown near the waterfront.

Can anyone recommend a nice, clean hotel and not in a "rough" part of town fitting this description?

Also, any recommendations for fun things to do or see is greatly appreciated.

Thank you!

$250-$270 CDN per night. I would love to see some sports, but because this is a getaway weekend with the wife, we probably wont.

Would be interested in seeing any cool attractions or sites in downtown Toronto. I know this is a broad range, but I am game for anything. She probably wants to go to museums and maybe a show. The CN Tower looks like a stop on our list.

Food - pretty much open to anything. Do not want any super fancy restaurants - just something with good food and can dress casual.

Thanks again for taking the time to do this. I really do appreciate it!

(a must, great restaurant at the top, expensive, but good food) R.O.M (art gallery/museum), nhl hall of fame, walk along the waterfront (it is chilly now though), ACC, the skydome (outside) are just a few.

if you wife want to go shopping and you don't mind her spending a few $$ on the Credit card, go visit HOLT RENFREW (50 Bloor st west), she will love you for it.

Food- this place is a must if you want to spice up some romance and what a great view of the city (here is a link)

and another

Shopping- again there is Holt Renfrew department store, and the major downtown mall is the Eaton Centre. You both might also want to take a stroll along Queen st west (between Spadina and University ave), many great shopping stores.

Museum- ROM

a must see....

Shows- I am guessing you are talking about theatre..

Hotel- about a 5 minute drive from the waterfront..
right near Holt Renfrew and the shopping district, very ritzy and trendy part of town, you won't be disappointed..

this one is closer to downtown...

or if you need anything more, feel free to ask...

:)

Enjoy!
