Used to be one of my favorite days of the year. IMO NFL kind of watered it down with the whole weekend package coverage.

Used to be Saturday NOON.

10AM Pick up Keg
11AM Pick up Pizza
11:30 20 people roll in for festivities.

Now, I am reduced to watching 3 days, with a shorter time in between picks. Less gambling, Less drinking.

Good gambling game we had was everyone put fixed amount in pool, say 20$. Draw numbers. Draft who you think your team (in this case New England) would take with the first pick they used. As NE rarely sits on picks, it's quite the challenge. And to boot, they usually draft positions which one would least expect. So, basically, we had to go 4-5 players deep with each person.

What's on your agenda?

Strong defensive class, stronger than most, and above average offensive class. Should be good. I still like this day, but it'd be like moving the Kentucky Derby to a Friday night IMO. Wasn't broke then...

Grabbing a Boston Herald & Globe to review draft picks LOL. Cooking some wings on the grill nailing them with Hot Sauce, icing down a beer or 12, trying to figure out if it will be Bourbon or Vodka to sip on, playing the ponies in between pick. Usual night... :0008
