European Golf 332 David Howell (Tourn) -110* vs Danny Willett (Tourn)

Q. 8-under par, you must be delighted?
DAVID HOWELL: Yes, I am, definitely. We are always greedy works have liked a few more birdie putts to go in. Made a bit of a hash at the 16th, but overall 68 was a really good score in these conditions.
Yeah, it was a nice week for me.

Q. How much of a battle will it be, the final few holes for the final few groups?
DAVID HOWELL: Well, you can make some mistakes but once you get past 16, 17, 18, they are pretty much downwind. So the length that Quiros has got, and Thomas has a couple of shot lead, it's going to be down to those two I think. I think I'm probably safe to go to the airport, but I'm pretty happy with my week's work. So I'll let them battle it out.

Q. What's been the difference with your golf in recent months?
DAVID HOWELL: I think a bit more responsibility for my own game I think, and try to think less. And I've been working hard, as well. Been enjoying my golf a bit more, had a nice winter in Dubai and get a little bit fitter, so healthy. Mind is in a good place. All in all, a pretty decent package.

Q. You spend lots of time in Dubai, are you looking forward to next week? You know how to win there and you also know how to beat Tiger Woods.
DAVID HOWELL: Yeah, that's easy, that -- I wish. I'm looking forward to it. I missed the cut last year, and my apartment overlooks the course, so it wasn't a very nice weekend spending everyone battle it out for the Classic trophy. This will give me some confidence going into next week and obviously looking forward to another good one.

I am on Kaymer as well, didn't get as good as odds as you though:

72 holes:

Kaymer -130 ov Woods.
Stenson -115 ov Sergio
F. Molinari -105 ov Quiros

Westwood to win 10-1

Round 1 play (2pts):

Thongchai Jaidee to beat Rafael Cabrera-Bello -133 @ Unibet [also available @ Extrabet]
Jaidee has an extremely impressive record in this event: he has played here in each of the ten years and has never missed the cut! In fact, he has finished outside the top-30 just twice in those ten years and held the lead after both the 2nd and 3rd round last year before missing out by a shot to Miguel Angel Jimenez. He comes into the event in good form over the previous three Middle East events, plus he won in Asia two months ago so I'm confident he can beat Cabrera-Bello who shot 76-72 on his course debut last year.

[unofficial rd1 system plays: Garcia tb Howell -125; Stenson tb Howell -115; Jaidee tb Martin -143; Molinari tb Davies -143; Hanson tb Hoey -143; Jimenez tb Bjorn -117; Stenson tb Bjorn -120; Green tb Aiken -120; Webster tb Karlberg -120; Levet tb Cevaer -125]

I wouldn't pick up this winning marker from last week, regardless; I was liking everything I tracked and watched over four days except the way he looked to scoop a couple of chips.

- - I've been patiently waiting for a plunge at the place where I was first introduced to his class.

Sergio Garcia(40/1) e.w.
- - I gets a feel for a very solid hunch.

Round 2 play (4pts):

Tiger Woods to beat Lee Westwood +101 @ Pinnacle [also available @ Stan James, Bet365, Unibet, and Extrabet]
Woods may not the World #1 anymore and, according to Kaymer, "he didn't play very good golf today", but he still hit his drives further, hit more fairways, hit more greens in regulation, and took less putts in regulation than Westwood. The focus is naturally upon Tiger's eagle at the last hole, but other than Westwood's scrambling skills, the stats showed that all parts of his game were better than Westwood's. At plus-odds there's enough reason to back Tiger Woods.

[unofficial rd2 system plays: Manassero tb Molinari +100; Dredge tb Aiken +120]
