Oregon -8 over Zona [luv game]
I played it early in the week at -7 but the extra pt doesn't bother me.I liked this game from the start.Realize now everyone in the world is on this game too.But when I capped it I didn't know.
Oregon "speed" is the key.Almost every position the Ducks speed is a factor.Fife has stepped in an done a great job at Qb.Onterrio Smith has been slowed by injuries but is ready today.Lyr vs Zona in the Ducks 62-28 win he went wild.
Zona is hurting.Their top RB Farmer is out.Top CB Jolivette out.Injuries all over.Zona defense is really bad.They beat North Texas 14-9 on a blocked punt.NT who has no offense what so ever gained over 300 yds.NT defense is solid and shut down Zona.
Trends in this game are very one sided.Ducks have won 3 of 4 in Zona.Zona is 0-8 ats in PAC 10 openers,lost 6 of 7 home dogs,etc,etc,etc.
Zona OL is weak,defense poor,they missed 4 FG's last week.They have so many inexperinced players filling in for injuries.
Ducks defense will pressure Johnson all day and double team Zona's only real threat WR Wade.If NT offense got into the Zona red zone 4 times last week the Ducks will be their 20 times today.It's a game that could get ugly.
Ducks win this game by 3 TD's.Maybe close in 1st half but no way Zona defense can stay with this attacking offense.
It's a "luv" game for me.
Army +20 over East Carolina
Army is last in the nation in turnovers.Last in the nation in net punting.2nd and 3rd in the nation in several other catogories.Cannot play on "GRASS".Army is down to their 3rd string Qb Silva who threw 6 ints last week vs So. Miss.He broke 4 records last week.In fact that record was held when George S.Patton was a sophmore at the Point.They have had 9 To's that directly turned into TD's.Thats 51 pts.[thats more pts then North Texas has scored all yr]
Army has lost 24 of 25 road games,17 in a row,and Qb Silva is starting after getting shell shocked vs So Miss.Berry last week took out over 25 plays in the spread attack so Silva could read the defenses better.Hopefully he puts them back in because when you make it simple for your Qb and he throws 6 ints,it also makes it simpler for the defenses CB's and LB's.

Army defense really played well though.They stopped So Miss on many drives and despite the offense and turnovers this game was a 7-6 halftime score.
.They are No 2 in the nation in turnover ratio.I wish the off line books had an over-under on turnovers in this game.
ECU is a team waiting to pounce on somebody.Logan is frustrated.He does have enough talent to beat Army and cover.
But Berry was Logan's assistent at ECU for 4 yrs.Logan recommened Berry for the Army job.They are close buddies.Smith,Armys RB coach is ECU's all time leading rusher.ECU's LB coach was at Army.And their are a few more coaches and ex-players between the 2 schools.Hopefully their wives remained faithful and their was no "hanky panky".

La-coach just quit last week.Tulane is coming off a 49-0 drubbing of Texas.I watched them play vs Texas.Really the score wasn't the whole story.Moore is tough.A little hurt but will explode today.

Texas is No 2 in the nation in 4 catogories on defense.Have 2 shutouts already.Simms and Benson are firing on all pistons.Texas at home is 23-2,won 15 straight with a huge scoring margin of 44-9 at home.
But after watching UT last week they are so damn predictable.They run on 1st down and 3rd down.Of course 2nd down depends on the ist play.They are balanced in scoring with equal TD's passing and rushing.But something is missing.
Ok St has a high powered offense.UT defense will be tested for the 1st time.Playing NC,Houston,North Texas,and Tulane is not a true test.
Cowboys are 14th in the nation in scoring offense.20th in passing,29th in total offense.
They have a balanced attack with 3 or 4 tailbacks that are talented.Fields is a solid Qb who is a good drop back passer.Woods is one of the top WR's in the nation.he will have to be doubled team all day.His little brother will play today als
SU makes big plays.I see them giving UT a game today.UT has blown them away in the past.
OSU defense is average and will have a hard time keeping Benson in check but Cowboys offense I think can move the ball and score to keep it under the number.If OSU score 1st it will be intresting to see how mack's team responds to being behind,something they haven't seen yet.
I like the 25 pts.

Cuse almost beat auburn last week.Nunes came off the bench to spell RJ.RJ will have to perform or Pasqua will jerk his skinny butt.Cuse owns this series.Pitt is more talented,have won 10 of last 11 games.Harris has done an unreal job.Considering when they were 1-4 last yr he was rumoed to be fired.Pitt has won 5 str. road games,Rutherford has settled in at qb.Pitt defense is tough.Pitt for the 1st time in yrs can get revenge for all the Cuse trashtalk and beatings.
But the "DOME" is their problem.Cuse players are coming off a tough OT loss to Auburn.Nothing better then coming home to play a BE team.Pitt hasen't won in 20 yrs at the dome.make it 21.Cuse wins this by a FG.
West Vir -3.5 over Maryland
Maryland is so injury riddled. Perry out.WV coming off a big win..They win big today.If WV has an oppurtunity they will run it up.Coulborne looking for big day.This is a strong play for me today.

If you play trends stay away from this game if you like the "flyboys".
AF is amazing.Down by 20 pts vs Utah last week on the road.They come back to win it.Teams with less talent get ther butt beaten week after week by DeBerry.
They block a punt,recover a fumble,etc.
Their offense is unreal.Their not just an option team.DeBerry runs wishbone,power,screens, play actions,traps,etc.
What a coach.Navy is hurt'in.This game is for the CIC trophy.I think navy has no defense what so ever.This series has been always close.But back in '98 they won 49-7.DeBerry won't run it up but I can't see navy stopping them.
