Duke tonight

Hey guys,
I'm sorry I haven't been posting, I've been out of town and very busy.
I saw the loss coming against NC State for many reasons. One of which the ACC is brutally tough this year, another is that Duke is playing quite hobbled right now (and NC State is a very good team, especially at home).

Stay away from Duke tonight. What most people don't realize is that Daniel Ewing is still hobbled, Deng landed on his back a couple games ago and is also hobbled, and a couple players have been sick/ injured (J.J. Redick, Sean Dockery). Duke is in jeopardy of losing tonight, although they are a LETHAL team coming off a loss. I would take Duke on a moneyline for a small wager, but that's about it. I would recommend teasing Wake Forest and the under (this game will be a struggle, the only thing which concerns me is overtime killing the under).

under 156 3 units

Wake Forest +7.5 and under 160 4 units
Wake Forest +7.5 and NC State -2 3 units (go Pack, go ajoytoy!)
Wake Forest +7.5 and Detroit Pistons -1 3 units

Duke +.5 and over 152 2 units (hedge bet)

Also... don't forget the trend/ fact that Duke, even it's best teams over the past few years, usually plays VERY close games AT Wake Forest. In my opinion, Wake and Maryland have been the toughest place for Duke to play in the past 5+ years.

why risk anything on duke if you think wake forest is a safe bet in teasers (as you have tied 10 units into teasers with wake)

why risk close to 6 units back on duke moneyline?

its tough to figure out who you like or what youre projecting

youre saying "stay away from duke tonight" but risking 5.5 or so units on em

only problem is he is paying (essentially) a ton of extra juice on the teaser as well as almost 9/5 odds on duke straight up.

neither is a 50/50 proposition, or even an 11/10 proposition

I in fact capped the game as a Duke win by 1-7 points (I write this during the game as we speak). Also, my teasers are only 10% juice, as I wager with Olympic sportsbook. Hope that clarifies things.

my point was that to get that middle (of 1-7), you have to:
1) lay 8/5 or 9/5 with duke moneyline
2) tie a total (or another game) to the wake tease in order to make it a 2-tmr.

Oops... missed the total but was right on in the game being a tough one for Duke. For you jackasses who don't understand what I'm doing, it's called creating a middle. Remember, my teasers have the same juice as a straight wager. I love the flamers who only talk shit when someone loses. Classy.

Anyway, I'll place a wager right now to anyone who wants it: I'll bet 10 units on Duke to win the national championship, straight up. However, for you to win the bet, you must also pick a team, and that team must win in order for you to win. So, for someone to collect, their team MUST win the NCAA tournament outright, and for me to win, Duke must win it outright. A man's wager, no odds, no spread, no juice. Put your money where your mouth is, I'm doing it now.

you created a middle by:

laying -170 or so on duke SU
and
adding a total to the game in order to get the extra wake points

as far as you challenging people by picking duke to win the title- it has nothing to do with anything

won both my acc games last night but lost wake total.defense is softer than it was earlier this yr.nice to see horvath and shav get some quality minutes.he is a better outside shot than deng.in practice he is equal to jj from outside arc but coach does not want him launching threes.he spends most of his time setting screens for shooters but often he gets open and they don't feed him.still wish melchionni could play a few minutes.i think now duke will go on a little run.schedule gets a little easier.acc tourney will be the toughest ever.only team i would take straight up over duke is stanford.west region is usually easiest.pitt is my second choice.
