The ACC really puts the 8/9 play in winner at a big disadvantage by playing them at 12 noon vs. the #1 seed after having played the night before. add to this virginia had to go to OT as well playing basically a 7 man rotation.

5 players went over 30 minutes last night, with billet and brown getting 39 and 37 min respectively. to turn around less than 15 hours later and run with duke (va tends to try and play uptempo vs duke averaging 165 pts per gm last 5 meetings) spells trouble for the cavs.

i look for uva to have trouble getting the engine cranked up this early in the day

Duke -8' (1st half)

any comments and info appreciated

Just my thoughts, but I would think it more likely that Virginia comes out strong and then fades down the stretch. Early on in the game, the adrenaline should still be pumping for these guys as they know that a win against Duke would go a long way towards getting them in the tourney. Plus, having already played a game here, they are more familiar with the floor. Of course, sometime during the 2nd half the fatigue should probably catch up to them. Of course, this was my same thought yesterday with the Charlotte/UAB game, and Charlotte came out flat (though they did grab the lead before halftime).

Taking Duke to lead by single digits at the end of the first half is generally a good idea, but there's just a little too much uncertainty for me to back it here.

GL2U!

thanks johnny!

i just feel that even if va comes out fired up and keeps it close early, that fatigue will set in before the break and hopefully duke makes one of their 10-0 runs going into the half.....

good luck today!!
