Duke - Va Tech

Leaning Duke and the over. No real strong opinion here, but like the over more... Someone talk me off the fence or push me over the edge here. Looking to play a little somehting on the night game for the hell of it. Opinions welcomed.

Duke:
3-0 ATS vs Va tech last 3 yrs
1-0 ATS vs Va tech last 3 years at Duke
16-8 ats on the year
7-3 ats as home fav of 12+
10-3 ats at home
8-3 ats in the conf
8-3 ats vs good def teams allowing <64ppg
5 of 6 totals between 130-140 have gone over (15 of 20 over last 3 yrs).

Hey Bucknut, I like Duke (1st half) depending on what line your book is giving you. I know FCP has the opposite and took V.Tech (1st half). We obviously are seeing things differently and I respect FCP's capping as I'm sure he does mine. The over looks enticing. I was looking at it, but so far it has not been a play for me yet. However, I don't think its a bad bet by any means.

To touch on my reasoning for the 1st half Duke play, here it is. The Blue Devils have been very impressive in 1st halves especially at home. Take a look at their track record so far playing at home in conference. They have been up at the half by 16 against Maryland, 12 against G.Tech, 10 against Florida State, 8 against Wake Forest, 18 against Clemson. These are all upper tier ACC teams. Then if you look at the scores at halftime in tough non-conference games, they were up 14 against Gonzaga, 16 against St. John's, and 30 against Charlotte. I just see a good defined trend here and have backed Duke in first halves this year as well as last which has resulted in many covers. This is just my two cents.

Thx, I know Delaney (sp?) is thought to be one of the nations top guards. Know they are tough at home and was surpirsed to see them getting so many points.
