They say Casey Jacobson from Stanford might slip to the second round, while Dunleavy will be the 3rd or 4th pick. That's absurb, just watch, Jacobson will be a more valuable player in the nba than Dunleavy will be. Jacobson isn't as polished as Dunleavy, but he has something you cannot teach, which is fire and sheer intensity. Dunleavy is soft. Great skillz, but soft. Jacobson, at anytime on any play, he can WILL his way to the basket or bomb it from far range even with a man in his face. Dunleavy has great skillz, but needs great players around him like Jay Williams to make him great. Jacobson can do it himself. If you had the ball, with one last play to tie or win the game, I'd give it to Jacobson to create rather than Dunleavy.

These two aren't even close in terms of talent in my opinion. Dunleavy is the far better player and he will have much greater success in the NBA in my opinion.

So Cal
Saw Jacobson play high school ball at Glendora and have seen him play alot of his PAC 10 games at Stanford. Dunleavy appears to me to be at a much higher level. Dunleavy is and plays much bigger than Casey and that will serve him well at the next level. Not knocking Jacobson, but don't see him having much impact in NBA. Would love to be wrong.

Jacobsen had a much easier time the last 2 years with the Collins brothers than he did this past year when teams could focus on him.

The reason why Dunleavy seemed much more impressive in college is because look at all the great players around him. Now imagine Jacobson playing for Duke with Jay WIlliams dishing him the ball. Jacobson would put up even more amazing numbers.

Yep, and all of those great players Stanford churns-out to the NBA.

Current list of players by school:

Duke-
Christian Laettner
Trajan Langdon
Danny Ferry
Cherokee Parks
Shane Battier
Elton Brand
Corey Maggette
Grant Hill
William Avery

Stanford-
Jarron Collins
Jason Collins
Brevin Knight
Mark Madsen

Sure, Duke has had plenty of flops..but they also have produced quality players.

Now, how about Stanford? Let's name the last Stanford player to make an NBA All-Star team. Or an All-NBA team..first, second, or third. Brevin Knight? Tim Young? Adam Keefe? Todd Lichti? LOL..just because they are located in California and Duke is on the right coast, Rail.

Jacobsen will be bench material his career..maybe a nice 6th or 7th man..few starts here and there. When Dunleavy grows into his body even more and reaches his potentail, he will be a 16-18ppg, 6-7rpg, 3apg, 1.5-2spg, 1-2 three's per game, type of players. No contest.
