Why is it a CD with music audio and sometimes cheesy video for the PC cost more than a DVD or roughly about the same?
Music companies I believe have less overhead than a movie production company. Not to mention the fact that movie stars make quite a bit more money than the average music star.
I think the music companies are just majorley GREEDY!
They get pissed with compnaies like Napster, Morpheus, imesh, etc. It's there own fault. When they manufacture a CD an it's costing them 50 cents and then they rake the consumer for 15-20 bones. Thier music deserves to be stolen.
If I can buy a CD-R for 15 cents then imagine how cheap they get them when they're buying 10 million blanks.
Think of the cost of a blank DVD. It's roughly about 14 bones to the consumer.
The music companies will not be able to stop the pirating of CD Audio. It is already to wide spread. The biggest countries that steal music and not just music but software and the such are China and Israel.
U.S. Court has know jurisdiction in these places. They can ask their governments to enforce it but when it's bringing the feds into the country do you really think they are going to do anything about it?
I think the music companies have made their bed now they need to lie in it.
Just My Opinion. Not sure if anyone cares. USing the thread to vent and seeing if anyone else has the same view point or maybe it is seen in a differnet point of view that I'm not comprehending.
