In my opinion....movies have never been better. The sound that comes from a dvd is unbelievable. I don't think that you can go wrong buying a dvd player!

Most important, get one that can also play CDR/CDRW and if u
want MP3..
I make VCD on CDRW,that play on my DVD

If your AMP is already 5.1 channel, then u can save some money
by getting one without built in decoder..

Now go and get one :)

Also,dont worry about DTS surround..
Dolby digital 5.1 is standard, and the WTG..

Try a no brand,for a start...
APEX ($100) it plays anything..
DVD/VCD/SVCD/CD/CDR/CDRW (this is important)

Good luck,hunting...

thanks IE

thanks IE

The only DVD player I have is my Play Station 2, but I was going to buy a regular one in the near future. Not anymore!! I had not heard of a replacement for the dvd player before now but I'll be waiting for the Blu-Ray to come out.

Blitz,
I have a 1 month old high-end Mitsubishi DVD player that I may be in the market to get rid of:mad:
Thanks for the info IE.
You can never have too many toys. Put your DVD players in the storage area with your 8-track player. It may be a collectors item;)
