The nephew of the once Boston Celtic star Danny Ainge needs to start being mentioned as a top 5 college QB and should be mentioned in the Heisman race!

BIG ORANGE LAND!!
how do you overrate 70% vs Cal, Fla, Ga, mem, marsh, and AF ?
Eric has played very well this year and deserves at least a mention in the race. But , oh well....ESPN desides who is in the race.

He will be in NY this year

He will be in NY this year

I am not a Vols fan but have to give tremedous credit to Cutcliffe for pulling this kid's head out of his arse. His level of play reminds me of the effect that Norm Chow had on Carson Palmer.

Ainge has all the tools to be special, a great pedigree, smart, and a cannon. Now he has confidence.

I was at the game sitting in a UGA box and they think Ainge deserves some serious Heisman hype. I can't say I disagree.

This is who I would have in NY if the season ended today:

Troy Smith
Garrett Wolfe
Calvin Johnson
Erik Ainge
AD

If SC gets their offense together and all the receivers come back, JD Booty may get mention. I don't believe in Quinn just yet, but may if he can beat the Trojans

we both know that BQ will get invited due to the hype machine. Booty may also get that same invite.

Are they dserving at this juncture? NO

I agree that E. Ainge should start receiving more hype and if he continues to win everything will fall into place.

Quinn has done nothing to hurt himself... 13 td 4 picks... Lead his team to a miracle comeback in 30 mph wind. He won't win the heisman but leading the ninth ranked team in the nation is not bad

If Michigan runs the table I'd bet that either Manningham (on pace for 18 TDs) or Hart (1600 yds) gets invited. Whenever UM has had a big year recently someone ends up in NY (Harbaugh, Woodson, Howard, Perry).

Smith is obviously there, then you're probably looking at Quinn (ND hype machine), Ainge should definitely get an invite if he keeps it up. Does Wolfe get there?

Long way to go, but Smith will win it if they win out, no matter how well he plays.

Cwood - I'm hearing reports that Manningham is done for the year? Is this true, I hope not...?
