The Pittsburgh Steelers are for real, I hate to say it. I'm not much of a Steelers fan but they may be on a path to the Super Bowl.
They have a great defense, great running game, very good wideouts, and Stewart is playing good ball. If they can pull out home field throughout, I like their chances to go all the way. They have the type of defense that could stop the raiders in the playoffs, and I think the Ravens are the only team capable of beating them in the AFC playoffs.

I'm pounding the Steelers this week against a Viking team that is headed in the wrong direction. The vikings are out of it, Culpepper doesn't look very sharp and their defense is poor, especially on the Road.
Look for the Steelers to destroy the vikings

Final Score
Steelers 31-10

I agree with taking pittsburg early. I don't see how minn defense can stop bettis. He should easily rack up 100+ yards.

I'll have my picks up Wed.

Minn+7 will be one of em. Pitt is playing with a lot of confidence, but Minny isn't out of it yet.
I look for Minny to catch Pitt on their heels and keep this one close.

Good Luck

i have just short of hated pitt for as long as cowler and stewart have been there. however, they do have their stuff together and are playing just short of perfection.

look at previous matches of minny vs any team that has a good to great defense and you will think twice about taking minny here.

no offense tb has destroyed them twice. the giants pulverized them last year. philadelphia handled them at will, etc. they did beat tampa in a squeaker at home early this year and beat what is left of the giants two weeks ago, again, at home.

aside from the fact that they are fighting among themselves, everyone has minny's number by now, and they will have one heck of a time scoring at pitt, while pitt sits back and waits for minny's offensive gifts.

minny is one team in disarray, badly in need of a strong running back to try to stabilize their offense. not make it great, just stabilize it.

psychologically, pitt must be on top of the world, thinking they can beat anybody and overcome any odds. they can ill afford to start taking a loss here and there, or playing squeakers, which they haven't. their offense has done just enough to come through when needed.

the question for minny is: how do you defeat an excellent defensive line with a weak offensive line and no running back? you try to "slip" something in bettis' drink or you pray for nature to have a hand in the game, some type of divine intervention.

pitt is a strong play for this week, and 7 is no object.

If anyone is thinking about taking minny, just picture them, outside in the cold, against a GREAT Steeler defense and you should start to think the way I'm thinking.

I can't justify a play on the vikes.

Being a season ticket holder from MN, I can tell you this Viking team is dead in the water. They play with no heart(except for Culpepper who's hurt and a few guys on the defense). Pitt -7 is a solid play and I'd also toss a few bucks on the under as the MN defense has played very well lateley.

I will not forget what I saw the other night.
It would be Pitt in a tease or nothing for me, but hey, nothing would surprise. I would imagine this is a game everyone in the world would have teased to -1 at least.

This game should be an interesting one. In my opinion, the Steelers will roll to a double digit win in this game. The one thing you have to beware of when betting against Minn is the big play. They are capable of the big play. However, it will be outside on grass and Moss will be getting smacked around all day. Time of possession will be a huge factor. I feel the Steelers will have a huge advantage in this category. They will pound the bus all day.
So in short, look for the Steelers to roll to a DD win.

We saw the Viqueens last Sunday on their turf, where they're supposed to play "better". What a joke! The queens are a total mess.

Moss and his Alligator arms will be a non-factor as the Pittsburgh offense will run the ball down the "queens" throats and control the clock!

Viking do not like playing physical teams. They are softer then Charmin toilet paper. Great example is eagles and Bears games in recent weeks. They fold up the tent early and want to go home. Steelers will smash them in the mouth early and often.

Vikings performance against bears was one of the most gutless performances i have ever seen. Anyone who puts money on the Viking should have their head examined. if you don't like Pittsburgh then i suggest passing on the game.
