Looking to take Illinois Chicago over Texas A+M. The game is being played at a high school gym in Las Vegas as part of a tournament.
After crunching the numbers, I show Illinois Chicago as the better shooting team overall, a little less prone to turnovers, a slight edge on defense, and fairly even on the boards.
Ill Chicago should also have a clear advantage underneath the basket with their star center who is the leading scorer and rebounder for the team. If Texas A+M has any hope of winning this game, they will have to stop Solverson.
Should also mention that IllChi also has a guard that could pick up the slack for Solverson as he hits the 3's 48% of the time. . . however, Texas A+M has a similar weapon in King.
In the end, I see this game being decided underneath the basket with the stronger frontcourt winning this game. I feel Illinois Chicago gets it done.
Thoughts?
