Fl State + 8 1/2...and ML (small). Something tells me that NC and Duke will not meet tomorrow, i.e,. one will go down today. Winning conference tourneys is only important to teams that can't get into the NCAAs otherwise. Fl State is already in but they are a worthy opponent who has never won the ACC tourney..so it might mean something to them..Lawson being out is key to NC..FL State big men will hold their own against NC and the guard play w/o Lawson is also pretty even...so taking away the intangibles of NC, this game to me really pickem..I like the upset here..Fl State 82, NC 80 ..but I'll take the points as well.

Tulsa +14...I guess I'm stubbon, can't get out my mind that Georgetown beat Memphsi early in the year...Georgetown isn't all that good..so is Memphis a "paper tiger"? I think so...not going big on this as Memphis tends to blow away all the Conf USA opponents..but I'll take a small one on this..

For entertain purposes, will take UMBC +6...I have not seen either of these teams but I do know that UMBC draws it's players from a good basketball area, Balt and Washington DC...Binghingon, not so sure you'd call that a hotbed..but then again, I really don't know, they could be very solid...but I'll make a small entertainment play based on where UMBC draws it's players from...these guys typially are one step down from the major conferences and/or can't get into due to grades..not going big however.

More to come later..the Fl State game I like a lot...there's a bunch coming that there aren't lines for that I'm anticipating..

Lines just came out for two more games I like...Terps +9..as noted below, don't think both NC and Duke play tomorrow..one will go down..Md typcially beats Duke once a year..but not so far this year...Md doesn't match up all that well with Duke in that both teams have skill players with Duke's players being more skilled..and Coach K as many folks know, gets calls like you wouldn't believe (still grousing about the non-walk call in the Va Tech/Duke game where the Duke guard did 3 360 pirorets moving his pivot foot each time and no call was made that cost me my play..but that's life)..but in spite of this and in spite of knowing I'm a homer for ther Terps, 9 points seems like a lot to me...Terps have played great the last two games...very cohesive team, each player knows his role..Vazquez is borderline NBA material and he's not come up big against Duke this year...so can they keep him down 3 games in a row..I don't think so...I think he has a big game...and the other Terps are shooting the lights out and are really good free throw shooters...will Md be flat? No way..they are still not in the tourney..and neither of their first two games were that tough or draining...so here's the upset pick Md 72, Duke 70...but I'll take the points as well

And Temple -200 on ML and use on Parlays..these two met about 2 weeks ago..Temple better team and must win to get into the NCAAs...Duquese would have to shoot the lights out to win this one..don't like giving 4 1/2 but I do like Temple to win at least...

Bucking the Big Ten under trend here....reason I like this is Ill games this year have gotten to at least 60 most of the time...Purdue is their equal so think if Ill gets to 60, Purdue will get to 60..Ill will fast break when given the chance are good free throw shooters and Purdue can knock down some 3s...so I'll take a chance that this won't be an ugly 34 second every possession big-ten game..I'll say the game is 68-62 or something like that..closer to 130..my fingers are crossed on this one...
