had a little extra time on my hands so i decided to look at the early lines for this week. here are some games that stuck out.

@ Minnesota -3.5 vs Purdue
Minnesota is at home and they defeated tougher competition than Purdue and won in a convincing fashion.

Penn St -6.5 @ Northwestern
Northwestern's D is horrible, allowing arizona st's offense to amass 483 passing and 290 rushing yards. Penn State should capitalize on this.

Michigan State -10.5 @ Illinois
Can anyone stop this offense? Notre Dame was able to get back into the game because they did not blitz in the fourth quarter. Stanton and Teague will run through Illinois' defense like water. Don't think Illinois can put up enough numbers to hang.

@ South Florida +22 vs Louisville
Don't think Louisville will win by 3 touchdowns. Got lucky breaks versus oregon state last game, don't think they will blow out a team 2 weeks in a row esp. on the road.

@ Tulsa +1 vs Memphis
Tulsa coming off a big win, and is better than I expected. Feel the momentum will carry them through a victory over Memphis.

Arizona State -4 @ Oregon State
The Beavs are my team, but don't think they can hang with Arizona St. I feel if any team can upset USC it will be Arizona State.

@ UTEP -3 vs New Mexico
UTEP QB Palmer will light up the scoreboard. As the season goes on he will only get better and better. One of his wideouts SUPPOSEDLY has a sub 5.2 sec 40 yard dash. Eventhough I really don't believe it, he is fast. New Mexico is a good team, so I will have to look more into this game.

Hawaii +3 @ Idaho
lol, just put this one for fun. This game should be close. Hawaii is better on the road as in the past. Hawaii's Defense is getting better as they are learning Glansville's schemes. UH QB Brennen is looking good and will only get better, RB Ilaoa is losing weight and is getting back into shape. UH played 2 tough teams in USC and Michigan State, look for them to get on the winning track this week. Idaho is improved, but they will be outcoached in this game as UH will definately light up the scoreboard.

Note that these are only my opinions as of this time, will do more research on these games later in the week. Might even go the other way if i find something of value. So far Minnesota looks like the best pick though.
