Took a look at the early lines and nothing really caught my eye ... until ...

Los Angeles -.5 -140 (over Van)

Appears like a gift, to me.
Pallfy, Robitaille, and Deadmarsh are ALL better than anything that the Canucks currently have to put on the ice. Combine that with a back-to-back situation for Vancouver (third in four nights), and a hot Potvin lookin' to make a statement to his old team (like he hasn't already), and I can't see LA dropping this one.

Only other promising game appears to be the Sharks, at -.5 -200, to kill Minnesota. All season I've believed that goalie Fernandez was the only hope that this club had to steal a win here or there; since he's been hurt this team is brutal, including a current winless streak of 10 games (should be 11 after Monday). I keep reading that he might be back before season's end, but it hasn't happened yet. Even if Fernandez is ready to go, the -200 requires something better than a 2/3 chance of a Sharks win to have value. I say we have that easily here.

What a weekend to lose an hour on, what with a paper due and two mid-terms coming up on Tuesday.
Oh, well ... the start of baseball season alleviates all anxiety.
