What a way to make nationwide headlines. focking homicidal idiots.

Anyway, here's a quote from ESPN that may be relevant to this weekends Iowa game:

"But while ISU presently monopolizes the state spotlight, the No. 23 Iowa Hawkeyes -- who lost 36-31 to the Cyclones on Sept. 14 -- could be the higher-ranked team by November.

Whereas ISU is plagued with the worst possible slate in the Big 12, Iowa is blessed with one of the easiest schedules in the already-weak Big Ten. After beating Penn State in Happy Valley on Saturday to improve to 4-1, the Hawkeyes? toughest remaining road test is at Michigan on Oct. 26. Purdue, Michigan State and Wisconsin all have to travel to Iowa City, while the Hawkeyes, luckily, don?t even have Ohio State.

The October loss to the Cyclones is still bound to nag the Hawkeyes, who haven?t beaten ISU in their last five tries. The second-fiddle scenario can?t be appealing for an Iowa team that once dominated state recruiting -- therefore they should relish the opportunity to, come season?s end, be the only 10-win team in Iowa. "

I like Iowa this weekend, for what its worth.

and i am hearing some scuttlebutt about a possible middle eastern connection-could it be terrorist related?..everybody`s gettin` paranoid... (one of the guy`s shot was indian,though)...they are saying the shots were sniper-like from someone that absolutely knew what they were doing....scary that you can`t even gas your damn car up without looking over your shoulder....might be time to start drawing and quartering some of these a--holes....on a lighter note, leaning toward iowa lightly also....see my thread on bowling green....it looks very positive....also leaning west virginia, fresno, miami oh,oregon st and kansas st....i know that`s more than you needed to know:rolleyes: .....g.l.

GardenWeasel:
I don't think there was any terrorist angle, I think this was one or two nut cases. Everyone I know including myself went out to lunch and went out after work as normal. It wasn't clear in the media that Montgomery County (Rockville, Bethesda, Silver Spring, Gaitherburg) is a pretty damn big area, kind of like Westchester in NY. Their target area was actually rather isolated. The only thing that worried me was that I'm a big target LOL.

:D :D :D ...seriously though...if irrefutable evidence can be found, there should be some sort of waiver clause in the law to forfeit due process for morons like this....is it possible that somebody wanted to get rid of somebody in a bad way and tried to obscure the act by staging what looks to be random acts of violence?...i think maybe i`m watchin` to much t.v.......g.l. this weekend..
