Here are my early thoughts for THursday..
Game #1 San Antonio--Hornets---WHen i look at this game i immediately see the score being low in the high 80's---low 90's--so my early lean is towards the under---San Antonio plays good defense and i starts with there ball pressure---They have the guards to play solid perimeter "D"--and they will need it against Charlotte's Baron Davis-I think they can give him some problems but he is a good player and will have some success!!! What does a team do when they get pressured on the perimeter?? THey must drive and break the Defense down, but i think S.A. with the twin Towers--give many teams scoring problem--they change many shots!!! My early lean is the under 187..
Game 2------Heat--Bucks------i really think that Miami is in trouble here tonight.. THey have not really been too consistent with the scoring and tonight going against an explosive offense--might have fits trying to keep up with the Bucks!! My early lean is towards Bucks-10 and the over 185---I believe that there are too many mismatches in this game---Bucks guards will be shooting 3's early and often.. And if ZO can go tonight he is always tough to guard!!!
Game 3---Bulls--Minnesota-------THis might be one of my favorites tonight, i need to see a few lines to make my final descision!!! Bulls--already a team struggling to find pts---Well it will not get any easier tonight against Minn.---FLip has his team clicking right now and there strentgh has been good jump-shooting and good Defense---They are running almost a match-up zone!!! We all know the Bulls have trouble scoring--and i think it does not get any easier against a solid--defensive team!! They have good guard Defenders--and guys that can block and change some shots!!! The only thing that worries me is how good Minn. can shoot free-throws!! Bulls might not break 80 though!!! My early lean is the under181...
Game 4-----Phoenix--Atlanta----Atlanta playing last night--and already banged up might be looking to slow it down tonight!!! I think Phoenix has too many scorers for Atlanta and i just can not find any reason why The Hawks can keep up with the SUns!!! Suns are getting better everytime they play--and will continue to get better every game!! I was liking the over-but Atlanta with playing last night could be a bit sluggish and their shooting % could be down!! My early lean is Phoenix---10
Game 5------Portland--CLippers----Clippers philosphy has been running and scoring--they have not been winning with their "D"--- My first thought in this game when looking at the game is the over--190--i see many mismatches in this game and look for Wallace--Anderson---Wells--to all have big games!!! It seems like Portland should come out and run away with this game but the line only being 6.5 is scaring me a bit... I thought the line would be at least 8 maybe 8.5---I believe there will be many fouls called in this one--Does anyone have stats on each teams Free-throw shooting??? PLease post if so!!
Game 6--Houston--76ers--have not seen a line---but expect another low-scoring game--Houston plays excellent "D" with their ball pressure--and 76ers already bad offensively(with-out Iverson) Mutumbo!! Need i say more...
These are my first thoughts on the game!! I appreciate the feed-back and hope to get more!! I'm off to the local "BOOKs" to see the lines and get the general public(around here) opinion!!!
