Got these 2 as of now....

GT -1 (Nickel summed it up pretty good, gotta go with my UofA buddy here)

UC Irvine -9 I went to the UCSB vs. CSUN game last Friday, and let me tell you CSUN is flat as hell, no spark on that team, all they do is throw the ball around the perimeter aimlessly and throw up bricks from the free throw line. I will admit they have some talent but just play REALLY REALLY FLAT. CSUN is 2-8 on the road this season, UCI 8-3 @ home. Riding a 4 game winning streak and looking to move into at least a tie at the top of the Big West standings. Not gonna put a LOCK on this game or GOY, but just going by how I saw CSUN play @ home vs UCSB, I just don't see CSUN sticking w/ a superior UCI here.

Gonna do a little more research on the UCSB @ Cal Poly SLO game, early lean towards UCSB. SLO is up the road from UCSB, not too much of a homecourt adavntage there, liking UCSB -3.

GT is too dominant at home this year. I think this will be a good game to sit on, public will likely side w/ Wake. Anything for a fellow Wildcat :toast:

you have an opinion on the fullerton/utah state game? i normally dont get a chance to actually "watch" the big west games, but i caught a few fullerton games this year and they just seem to be a REALLY athletic team. theres times when they look completely lost, but i just think they might be able to give the aggies a real good game tomorrow. the one kid that impressed me was pape sow. that kind can play. do you know how well fullerton draws at home? is there a chance theyll have a good crowd tomorrow? i can see an upset, but just not sure

Both teams are night and day one the road or at home.. . . GT has won 11 out of 12 at home but have lost 9 out of 10 on the road, Wake has won all 13 at home and split eight games on the road. They have played 5 extra home games as opposed to the road. . . just think if they have played 5 extra games on the road. . . do you really think this team would still be in the top 25

Not me ;)

I actually played baseball in the big west during the mid 90s. The only thing men have at fullerton is baseball. i am not saying that they wont cover but i could never take anyone in the big west other than utah st or pacific(even though they choked last nite)
as for cal poly/santa barbara, santa barabara is the better team, but you have to watch out for cal poly they have been playing decent lately and i think have won a few in a row. just trying to help, the game

Slo has covered 6 of their last 7 ATS. One of these wins for Slo was against S.B. at S.B. where Slo lost by 9 but covered.
Slo has ben hot lately.

They also beat Irv. outright at Irv. by 6.

Be careful:nono:

This game also caught my eye. Had it been last year i am, sure Utah St would've been favored by like 13-17 yes even at CSUF. BigGameHunter is right, CSUF has an UNREAL Baseball program, Fullerton is nothing but a small time commuter school, but is great in Baseball. Anyways, Utah St has been very iffy on the road all year. Games they should win with ease are giving them difficulty. In their last 5 road games, USU bigest win was by 8 points at sorry Long Beach St. This clearly isn't the Utah St of years past, nor is this the same pathetic CSUF squad. That being said however, CSUF has been plauged by injuries ALL YEAR. Junior foward Jamal Forcheney is the only player on the team to play in all the teams games this season, and CSUF recently lost another leader in Derrick Andrews who has been averaging nearly 10 points per game in 26.5 minutes.
That being said USU really needs this game to move into at least a tie with UCSB for the Big West lead. Personally leaning towards a small play on Utah St, small only because of Utah St relatively lackluster road play this season. Utah St will look to get a good start on this weak SoCal road trip that puts them up against the UC Riverside Bears on Saturday.

UCSB.....

Tonight the UCSB men's basketball team takes on Cal Poly to complete a three game road trip. The journey began in Pacific where the Gauchos defeated the Tigers 62-52, and proceeded to Northridge where Santa Barbara defeated the Matadors 67-58. The two wins increased UCSB's overall record to 13-10 and its conference record to 10-3. Cal Poly enters tonight's game with a mark of 11-11 overall and a Big West record of 7-6.

Look for UCSB to close out its road trip with an eleventh victory in a row over Cal Poly. The game will be a good one as the Mustangs are very hard to beat on Mott Court, however, Santa Barbara has the defense running on all cylinders right now and different players are stepping up the offense every night. Fullove will get his usual 15, possibly along with his usual injury, and Hull should chip in as well, as long as he has broken out of his slump. Cecil Brown and Josh Davis will contribute off the bench and Cook and Jones will get some buckets too. By Saturday's Bracket Buster contest with Detroit, Santa Barbara should be riding high atop the Big West with a 14-10 overall record and a stellar 11-3 mark in Big West play.

A little more infor on Utah St and CSU Fullerton. From USU mens hoop homepage...

Quotes from Head Coach Steve Morrill

How are the Titans different since the last meeting?

"They are more talented, obviously. Pape Sow gives them a whole new dimension, a dominant inside guy that you have to worry about. Now their leading scorer is on the perimeter, Ralphy Holmes, and yet they got a guy who many think is the best inside guy, inside. I have liked their talent for a long time. Not having Sow, having a bunch of suspensions and injuries is why they have won seven games or however many they have won. But if you look at those seven wins rather than their talent level and who they have right now then you are making a mistake. We will have to play one of our best games to have a chance to win at Fullerton. We know exactly what they are going to do. They are going to press us a little bit, they are going to play 40 minutes of zone because they do that with everybody.

"The thing we are trying to do is be as upbeat as we can and try to get better and not sit and dwell on last weekend or dwell on three weeks from now. Day by day, we go about our business and I told our guys that most of the talk around the league will center around Santa Barbara and Irvine at this point, depending on what happens. We can try and lay in the weeds and get better and that's what were going to do."

Why haven't they been better since (Pape) Sow returned?

"I watch them and I think they are better. I guess they are adjusting to him. I know this, they are a dangerous team come tournament time. Everybody will say, look at their record, you should beat them. But they are as talented as anybody in the league. If they can continue to get more comfortable with Sow being back they are a very dangerous team."

Utah State-Cal State Fullerton Series

The last time the two teams met in Fullerton was on Jan. 19, 2002, with the Titans recording a 65-51 win. Utah State is 9-13 all-time against Cal State Fullerton on the road. Thanks for the props BG. Damn my last year at UofA was good but I always kick myself in the ASS when I think ofthe other 3 years!!! Oh well Southwestern or Pepperdien here I come. Anywho, earlier I was thinking of playing USU small but after more research and more confidence I feel from this USU squad, I really like them today. What better team that CSUF then to get out of their weak road performances. I see USU taking ti to CSUF and UCR so they can gain some momentum leading into the Big West Conference Tourney.

mjalam, Cal SLO has been pretty solid at home of late, but UCSB likes being on top of the Big West and the Guachos are playing some solid ball right now. Line opened at 3 dropped to 2.5 now back to 3. This will be a close game, I see UCSB winning it late with some free throws.
