and many of these were british fans....

i still haven`t watched it(will today)but, right or wrong about the commentary, you have to give the brit fans a big :thumb: ...

i`m admittedly biased because i had alot riding on kessler.... but when hometown fans rail on their own announcers for shading commentary(in an era where, in many cases, nationalism shades objective thinking),you have to feel pretty proud of your fellow boxing fans who want to see both combatatnts get a fair shake...

glad i read these comments...these guys are the hardcore fans that know that ridiculous judging and biased reporting just don`t cut it...and hurt the cred of the sport...

the super 6 is still up for grabs..

I haven't watched it yet but some guy from the Sweet Science is implying Kess got a hometown dec. I for one thought Froch was the recipient of a hometown dec v Direll so fvck him. Going to watch the entire fight today...can't wait for the 12th rd!

in my opinion, these fights are very different

Dirrell won the last 2 rounds against Froch and, I thought, deserved the nod

This fight was more exciting yesterday, but not as close
Kessler the clear and deserved winner

just one man's opinion

Michael Woods said Froch was classy as usual after the fight??? Don't know if I would exactly call him classy. Glenn Johnson on the other hand has had countless decs to gripe about and the guy remains the epitome of class. Froch sure sounds like sour grapes to me by saying he would have gotten his hand raised in england...well no shit Sherlock, it happened in your last fight. I watched the highly competitive fight with ebbs and flows but NO doubt Kess won the fight DESERVEDLY... whether it was in Denmark, England or Timbuctoo. Now the "classy" Froch is saying he will back out of the tournament if the fight with AA is fought in Germany...real class there Frochy.

"the bunker"
just finished watching...and i have to give both men serious props....

both wanted it badly...i have the feeling that kessler might be a tad diminished after the ward loss...wasn`t quite as pinpoint with his punces as i remember...maybe that`s due to froch`s length and awkwardness....i`m glad froch played counter-puncher because, like some others that were commenting in-fight here,i was holding my breath late when they got into a firefight...kessler`s legs looked iffy late in the 11th and 12th...

great body work(that always gets under appreciated or ignored) from kessler...and a surprisingly effective jab from froch....
froch had a much better jab than i expected him to have....and he throws it from weird angles...

lots of action and ebb and flow like romi said..

the number of solid, flush shots landed considering the amount of hands thrown was minimal,imo...lots of glancing shots...blocked shots...shots that fell just short...obviously some shots landed, judging by the guys` faces, but, not many big, hurtful shots...

more slapping from both guys than i expected...particularly late, because both guys were tiring...

maybe froch`s awkwardness makes him a better defensive fighter than i originally thought...

this was a highly competitive, hard fought fight...i thought it was close.....i wouldn`t have been surprised if froch had gotten the nod in england...just my opinion...both men had their moments...i shaded it toward kessler due to workrate and aggressiveness,,,,...but,even after the fact,i was still biased as hell:shrug: ....it was way too close for comfort...shows why homecourt is so damned important...

no losers here ,imo...good for boxing...

can`t wait for froch/abraham...has the potential to be even better than this one...

now u see why i was shitting and u knew the result :mj07: If they fought again i would sit it out or possibly take Froch. Froch, tho to me, is just an ignorant fighter. Guy has way more talent then i originally thought but things he does in the ring hurt him. His jab is really nice but where he throws it from is just silly. Jaw is fantastic. Seem like when he held his hands up and got more serious, he was a better fighter. Just doesn't seem to want to hold his hands up for some reason. when they were having those exchanges u knew Froch wasn't going anywhere but it looked like Kessler could get knocked out with one punch. Glad that fight is over :142smilie

IMO Kessler is a diminished fighter. Froch was actually outboxing him in some of the earlier rounds.

and Froch, I think he is having more and more trouble to make the weight, he couldnt maintan a good pace, otherwise I think we would have been in trouble...

Its funny, now it looks as though both Americans, who were huge underdogs at the beginning of the tourney have a good shot to win it...

just finished watching the fight, kessler just had enough to eek it out

fun fight but SLOPPY, it's easy to say without having to wing haymakers for 12 rounds but hey i jog?? :mj07:

froch didnt have his usual strong kick in the later rounds, maybe the volcano ash? lol

agree with Zerwas, kessler is diminished

what happened to the gunner in the andrade and calzaghe fights? (father time)

i gotta bet against Kessler next time, if he fights Froch in a rematch, im thinking froch by KO

i think abraham axes the viking warrior late too

Steve Bunce said that he was beside the Froch corner and quoted him as saying "He is Fucking killing me with those body shots".

Maybe that's why he didn't have his normal late rounds kick???
