The odds have shrunken on her to make the cut and I think the odds are worse then ever!

Everyone thinks she had this great round.....and it was nice but she proved one thing, she cant putt. That was evident from the start. I said that if she played out of her ass, she could shoot 71 or 72. Well she played out of her ass and she still wouldnt have made the cut if it were cutting after today. This first round is the one she wanted to play well in. This second round is an afterthought. She thinks she has accomplished her goal. I honestly wouldnt be surprised to see her go out and shoot an 80 tomorrow. She played out of her ass today and no way does she follow it up tomorrow. She said it herself, that this might have been the best round of golf she ever played. And she shot 71!!! She WILL NOT improve and she will need to in order to make the cut.

At -300, this is the easiest money I will ever make.

Where have you seen updated lines for the cut or an O/U for tom.? I agree, she could have a tough time tom. with the last tee time meaning dried out greens and slower play. I think she will shoot 74+ tom. GL

Right now she is tied for 63rd before teeing off. If she duplicates yesterday, I think she makes the cut. I'd like to wish you luck but I think she will again shoot 69-71 today and make the cut. She missed 4 putts under 10 feet.

This is perhaps the fiercest competitor from a golf standpoint besides Tiger Woods - and has a higher career winning % than Tiger. You think she just looks at the 2nd round as an afterthought? You dont think shes practicing her ass off to make the cut today? She got some lucky bounces yesterday but sometimes you make your own luck, I think she thought her way around the course yesterday better than anyone and I think she does it again today.

I never root against guys here, but I would like to see her do it.

I hope those of you who thought the 2nd round would be an afterthought to her are watching this or following through Shotlink on pgatour.com. She has taken dead aim at the pin on the 1st four, including the 4th, a 216 yd par 3 that no one though she would be anywhere near.

I'm watching, I have to agree with Tease. This is like a WNBA star playing for the Denver Nuggets.....nothing but a publicity stunt.

Alb, what leads you to believe she needs more publicity?

David Fehrety made a good point this morning. If there were an uber-tour above the PGA Tour and Tiger wanted to play a tournament there because he had maxed out on competition at the PGA level, we would have no problem with it. No one would be bitching or pissing and moaning. This is about the top athelete in her sport in the entire world challenging herself at the next level. If she makes the cut, great. If not, so what.

I don't think she needs it, but she's getting it and loving it. I've never watched more than 1 hole of chicks golf until now........which I can't help because there is a whole crew of cameras following her (talk about publicity). It doesn't bother me though....I look at her and think 'I'd do her' and that is as far as it goes. Sportswise, it's just a gimmick. Women kicking fieldgoals (did you see that lame attempt?). Rheaume playing net for the Lightning. Let's see her actually qualify for her next tourney and then there will be something to appreciate. But hey, if it were me, I'm not that proud that I would turn down a token oppurtunity either. Just my view.......no biggy.

Congrats Tease......it looks like you were right on the easy $$$.

Yup....easy money. She was playing with a handicap. She can fire at those pins as much as you want, but when you are flying at them from so far away there is no way you can get them to stick the way you want. If you look at the other short players on tour, they mostly have one thing in common...they can putt their asses off. Annika clearly doesnt have that ability. She can put the ball in play, but she obviously cant make those 25-30 footers, and often 3-taps them. She had a course that suited her short game as best as any course out there, and she didnt beat but a few guys. If she tries another course it is likely to get worse. It was a nice "stunt", but this is not going to be a success for a woman until they get a longer hitter in there.
