Not to be divisive but.....Lying in bed with my wife last night watching the map and red states. I said would you really want to live in any of those states anyway. We both shook our head. All the red states have is NASCAR, good college football, rednecks, the most uneducated people in the country, baptist churchs, pick up trucks, country music, tobacco, lack of dentists, and racism.

Please form your own country, reinstate slavery if you like, start wars, listen to country music all day, make NASCAR your national sport, have your own creation museum, be as totally stupid as you like, drive as slow as you like (in the left lane mind you) make lynching a hobby, live in the 19th century, I swear this time, I for one, will not stop you. Jefferson Davis forever, unificationists never.

Make it the Ohio Ocean.

Did you serve your country in any division of the armed forces?

Hasnt Ohio been a red state for the previous 8 years?

Havent you lived in Ohio for the last whatever years?

I would choose SC over Ohio 100x out of 100x.

Your far left friend,

You said some pretty foolish things earlier that painted you and your wife in a less than admirable light.

That being said, this is a sports forum that I have enjoyed with you for some time and I will overlook your foolish sentiments about the South and its people.

Good luck to you in Ohio.

Bryan

Eddie is only quoting popular stereotypes for the social sentiment of our times when we are talking abou the south versus north. They still exiist today in much of the US

I don't think he's quoting anything, I think he's just an old bitter fool who's had tin foil on his head too long.

Woody:

I love you and will always respect a man who beats me in fanstasy football. My sentiments about the south are obvious generalizations and are based on voting patterns etc. I hope you realize they do not apply to individuals from the south. Some of my best friend live in south Philadelphia.

Seriously, some of my best friends live in Marietta Georgia. Every person is an individual. AR for instance if from New York, yet based on what I know about him he is a raging toothless shoeless hillbilly. Don't take my generalizations personally as they obviously are not personal.

But generalizations generally (?) have some basis in fact. For example, someone in one of the other recent threads posted a picture of fried chicken, watermelon, etc with reference to Obama ala Fuzzy Zoeller. Blacks like fried chicken. generalization yes, true in most cases but not all.
You owe me a beer. I never forget.

Thank you Sponge. Layinthewood, I resent the tin foil on the head to long. The rest of your post, I concur. Fat, I love you. Fat and I played golf together and he is a great guy from Dallas, albeit circuitously via Chicago.

Again buddy and soon I hope. However, you had I shot we used. You are a better drinker than a golfer. Hope to spend more time with you.

Look forward to a long slow recovery over the next four years but I do feel one hell of a lot better after this election that I did four years ago.
