Balls Deep
Is this strictly a southern thing? My MIL has been making these for years. Super easy and tasty- you must like runny eggs or there is no point.

Lived in the deep south all my life and never heard of that either. Looks great. Eggs eye-balling you on top of toast is common but I've never seen that. Will have to give it a try.

Somewhere in Corn Country
Egg in a Hole

Been eating these all my life and I'm from the Midwest.
My family called them egg in a basket. The hole was the best-- grilled with butter while the egg is cooking.
Very tasty!
Know what I'm having for breakfast tomorrow...:toast:

Not from the south but I learned this from a childhood friend in Florida. I make them for myself on occasion and have even seem them on a diner menu once or twice before. Name I've always known for it is a "hole in one."
