Electric Smoker- help needed please

Does anyone have one they can recommend? One of my sons lives in an apartment complex and cannot have grills, so has asked for this for Christmas. Any suggestions on what to look for, brands to get or stay away from? Any help appreciated. Thanks in advance.

I have a Masterbuilt that I purchased on Amazon. They do make self feeding ones but I am happy with this one. You have to be around for the first 3 hours of the smoke to add chips about every half hour. Is he allowed to have a smoker? It emits smoke obviously so that may also be an issue in the complex.
