This is going to be another underdogs paradise just like WEC.

Tank- If he comes in weighing more than 270, he will be dangerous for 30 seconds. If he comes in under 270 LOOK OUT!! He will be dangerous for about 45 seconds LOL. All kidding aside, I think Tank has a great chance. I seen Kimbo getting decked by 2 of those streetfight bums that he made his rep from. Tank can punch.

Rogers- Anybody who can punch can beat Thomson.

Noke- He is a slight favourite over Smith but he has the type of style to give Smith fits.

Rico- Silva should win but Rico can be very skilled at times.

Good Luck.

Hi Gardenweasel.

I had to give Tank a shot. He was +425 at pinnacle last night.

Tank can punch and I don't think Kimbo has a great chin.

It will be fun for the first minute.

I posted this in the Tank/Kimbo thread.

I won't be betting on that fight, but after the weigh ins I'm likely going to bet Antonio Silva (~ -270) over Ricco Rodriguez and Brett Rogers (~ +180) over James Thompson.

I have since put a small bet on Brett @ +181. Silva is now ~ -300, so hopefully Ricco gets bought up a bit so the line becomes more appealing.

I cant believe the odds on these fights.
I think both are WAY TOO HIGH!!!!!!!

Getting (+260) on Ricco seems insane to me. Not sure where Ricco's head is after being on Celeb. Rehab, but come on. This guy was one of the best at one time.Beating guys like Couture,Monson,Arlovski,Buentello. I know those were back in the day fights, but Silva has never shown me much against bums.He wont KO Ricco.

Brett Rogers(+180) over Colossus.
Thompson has little to no chin and can go at any time.

PLAYS:
Suave(+260) over Silva for 100.
Rogers(+180) over Thompson for 100

Good Luck

umm.....not exactly two top notch well tuned athletes fighting huh :mj07:

as for underdogs.....Scott Smith at $2.25 looks like a good play:SIB

Rico has his own TV show Weasel. He has been busy/
Here are some prediction from some guy who covers these guys.

Hey Sponge,

Happy valentines day and stuff.(must be fruitty :mj07: i guess)

Not alot happenning this week other than the freak show that is the EliteXC: Street Certified Card, headlined by Kimbo Slice, who is AWESOME, but he's beating on a fat old biker that could be my granddad in Tank Abbott. He'll be lucky if he walks outta there with his dentures intact. UGH.

Anyways, I AM actually looking forward to seeing a few guys fight, mainly Antonio "Bigfoot" Silva, he's one of those freak pituitary gland sufferers where he doesn't stop growing and stuff. He had it fixed but he's still cool lookin.

Here are some Picks for EliteXC:

################################################################

Antonio Silva -260 vs Ricco Rodriguez +200
Rodriguez used to be a monstah, I could go upset but I think that we have a Silva on the way up, and Rodriguez on the way down. Ricco is a former UFC HW champ, and he used to kick some serious ass...but that was in 2002, he hasn't done a damn thing since. Ricco also took this fight on semi-short notice. Oh Ya, and this is EliteXC's Gary Shaw's chance to have one of his fighters beat up a UFC guy.
Prediction: Silva TKO

Kyle Noke -145 vs Scott Smith +115
This one is too close for me to call, if I would have pulled the trigger on a bet 10 days ago, I could have gotten Smith at +130 and would have taken it, I just can't see the value in this line now. BUT...if you want the best underdog on the card, Smith is your man.

Yves Edwards -350 vs Edson Berto +220
Yves is a massive fave for good reason, hell, he might be old but the guy has beaten Hermes Franca TWICE. He's and amazing talent. Berto is in over his head.
Prediction: Edwards decision.

Tank Abbott +350 vs Kimbo Slice -500
Kimbo by decapitation, nuff said.:scared

ummm...just my two cents.....but Kimbo Slice is far far far from Awsome:nono:

he's not even a top 30 fighter in the heavyweight division..........can you imagine what would happen if he fought somebody in the top ten...now that would be one quick fight...

thanks for the info,sponge....you still have your tank wager going?.....

if you`re sticking with abbott,i give you credit...i wasn`t trying to talk you off tank....

those odds are substantial and i`d never try and disuade a guy off a big dog...the risk and reward are to heavily in your favor...

....if he pulls this off,i`ll have to send you a hat or something for sticking to your guns through all the negative feedback....

g.l. with the large doggie..

have to agree with GW.....any wager on a big dog in MMA is well worth it (especially in UFC). Except if it is against GSP...then ya go with the fav :mj07:

and Sponge sent ya another e-mail and responed to ya in UFc thread. Just ask jack for my e-mail and send me one...your address does not seem to work!

I am going with Abbot, Ricco, Noke and Rogers.

Abbot can punch and the odds were +425.

Ricco is no joke when motivated and Silva has never been past one round. Maybe his cardio is not so great come round 2.

Noke is good on the ground and that is a big Smith weakness.

As Kegray already mentioned, Colossus has no chin and loses when he should win and wins when he should lose. Rogers can punch.

I have a lot riding on these. If they lose I will be riding off into the sunset for a while :scared .

i remember now, seeing rodriguez as a late replacement vs that big goon rothwell in the ifl.....

looked like he was just collecting a check that night.....

this thompson guy is a big mother....i also remember seeing him vs one of my old faves don frye(way past his prime..fightfinder`s great...you look at the records and you remember certain fights).....

thompson looks intimidating but he`s very beatable,imo...

t ..

I just have 50 on it. i just gave my brother 50 of the 100 i had. my big bet is on Mijares so now i have 12 rounds of shitting in my pants. also went with the Pavlik/Taylor under -178 10.5 rounds. I still think Tank has a chance but he is like betting Andrew Golatta. You really don't know what you are getting. If he loses i see him getting choke out like KImbo Choke out Mercer. Tank is dumb enough to duck his head right into that choke. It will be a solid 30 seconds tho. Who knows what will happen. I just think Kimbo is getting a little to much hype ala Lesner. If this fight was even odds im not even sure i would bet Kimbo. I would just pass on it. Rico always seems to look sloppy and on that rehab show he looked very fluffy. Taylor Pavlik fight im not taking any of the fighters. I want to enjoy it.

Here we go Rogers/Thompson right off the bat.
I am about to get hit with some serious rain and may lose my dish for 20 or 30 minutes.
Any updates would be great.
I will give what I can.
