Emelianenko back in action
MMA action is in San Jose, California on Saturday night. It?s a Strikeforce and M-1 Global co-promoted event that features the sport?s No. 1 heavyweight Fedor Emelianenko. Here are the latest odds from BroburySports.com.

Emelianenko is a 33-year-old Russian and perhaps the biggest name in MMA. He last fought American Brett Rogers in November, getting a TKO win (Punches) in Round 2. The only loss in his career came way back in 2000.
Finding worthy Strikeforce opponents is always a challenge and that?s where Fabricio Werdum comes in. The 32-year-old Brazilian has been a top-10 MMA heavyweight over the last five years.
Werdum has experience in the UFC and this will be his third Strikeforce fight. He beat Antonio Silva in a unanimous decision on the same card as Emelianenko last November
Werdum is an expert at Brazilian jiu-jitsu. His ground game is capable of defeating any fighter in the world and that includes Emelianenko. The problem is Emelianenko is smart, patient and can take advantage of any opening given to him.
One punch to the jaw can end this quick and that?s why the Russian is the solid favorite.
Elsewhere on the slate, Cung Lee is the solid ?chalk? in the rematch after a shocking loss to Scott Smith last December. Lee was dominating before it all turned around quickly. It was the first loss in the MMA career for the former kickboxing champion.
Cris ?Cyborg? Santos may be a woman, but she's a dominant champion in her own right. Finney is not the most difficult opponent she could face and thus Cyborg?s the heavy favorite.
Finally, Josh Thomson is trying to bounce back after losing the Strikeforce Lightweight Championship to Gilbert Melendez last December. He?s the solid ?chalk? over Pat Healy.
Strikeforce Odds
Fedor Emelianenko (-600) and Fabricio Werdum
Cung Le (-290) vs. Scott Smith
Josh Thomson (-500) vs. Pat Healy
Cris Cyborg (-1500) vs. Jan Finney
