Spurs' record this season has been built on beating sub-par sides. Against quality opposition (Man U, Boro) they've come up short. Now they have to travel to face unbeaten Liverpool at Anfield. The home side could have Gerrard, Cheyrou and Heskey back. They weren't that sharp at Leeds but did enough to win _ the sign of a quality team with defensive resilience.

Don't be fooled by Blackburn's 5-2 win over Newcastle last weekend. They played 10 men for most of the match and were lucky not to be 3-2 down at one stage before netting a couple of soft set-piece goals. They're still without their first-choice striking combination. The champions will be angry after 2 consecutive defeats and have class in abundance to stop that run at Highbury.

This is Chelsea's first home game in almost a month, and their record at Stamford Bridge hasn't been fancy this season. Zola inspired their win at Man City last weekend but they were very lucky not to be down a goal and to 10 men, when Dessailly's foul on Goater went unpunished. As usual, City missed a score of chances before collapsing late. The Baggies have been solid defensively and I believe the pace of Roberts and Dobie can really trouble the Chelsea defence. Getting more than a goal is enough here.

Newcastle have to be immensely buoyed by the win over Juve and have backed up well this season after Euro matches. They showed some spirit too with 10men v Blackburn and Shearer is as sharp as ever. They get Dyer, Lua Lua and Dabizas back for this one too. Charlton's spirits were lifted by the win over Boro at home but lack the quality to stay with Newcastle over 90 mins at St James Park.
