GAME 1: West Ham - Liverpool

money should be coming in on a liverpool win.

last score between these two was 1 - 1

Liverpool predicted to win THIS match up.

recent meetings:

11/02/2002 Liverpool 2 : 0 West Ham -304/700/300

12/29/2001 West Ham 1 : 1 Liverpool

08/18/2001 Liverpool 2 : 1 West Ham
02/03/2001 Liverpool 3 : 0 West Ham

09/17/2000 West Ham 1 : 1 Liverpool

11/27/1999 West Ham 1 : 0 Liverpool

10/27/1999 Liverpool 1 : 0 West Ham
02/20/1999 Liverpool 2 : 2 West Ham

09/12/1998 West Ham 2 : 1 Liverpool

05/02/1998 Liverpool 5 : 0 West Ham

so, we're pretty much looking at a 1 - 1 / 2 - 1 type score, hopefully for liverpool.

west ham is a very defensive team at home with scores of:
2 - 1 / 2-2/ 1-1/ 1-1

liverpool's last few on the road:
1- 0 / 1- 1/ 1- 0

west ham at home : 1 - 6 - 6
so a tie or loss looks good.

liverpool on the road: 5 - 5 - 2

based on recent results.....we're expcting no more than 3 goals to be scored.

HERE ARE THE PREDICTIONS:

1) Liverpool to win 1-0 7.00 x 20 bucks = 140.00

2) Liverpool to win 2-0 9.00 x 20 bucks = 180.00

3) Liverpool to win 2-1 9.00 x 20 bucks = 180.00

4) Draw 1-1 7.00 x 20 = 140.00

5) Draw 2-2 15.00 x 20 = 300.00

yes, there are SOME risks involved, but hey if you play on recent play and results and you know what you're doing...i feel that you can make some money in this venture.

i think next season, i'll be able to improve on the english premier when i get a better handle on the teams....this season, i haven't been following it closely ( too many other sports)...and therefore not really being able to FULLY concentrate on football this season.

GAME TWO: Aston Villa - Blackburn

ASTON VILLA is 8 - 1 - 4 in their home matches.
not too shabby.

Blackburn is 1 - 1 - 3 in their last 5 on the road....seems that they're in good form.

as in the first game that we've capped, we're looking at a close game here: possibly

aston is outscoring their opponents by an average of 2 - 1 at home.

blackburn has a good goals for and goals against ratio on the road.

i don't expect to see Blackburn getting blown out here.

predicted outcomes:

1) Aston Villa to win 1-0 7.50 x 20 = 150.00 bucks

2) Aston Villa to win 2-1 9.00 x 20 = 180.00 bucks

3) Draw 1-1 6.50 x 20 = 130.00 bucks

4) Draw 2-2 15.00 x 20 bucks = 300.00 bucks

good luck to all.

this experiment of predicting scores is being used with IMAGINARY UNITS!!!!

i'm tracking this for the rest of the season....and depending on how it goes, i will try to implement it into NEXT season.

GL mate

btw, they're hanging side by side for speed :D

big duck's egg y'day 0-3, hope to get 2 back o/nite Kiwi time..

West Ham have lost just twice in their last 7 EPL matches including a trip to the Arsenal were they certainly were competitive and finally broke the home duck midweek against Blackburn.
The West Ham defence never inspires much confidence but Rufus Brevett could make his debut after the transfer from Fulham and Liverpool haven't exactly been setting the world on fire up front lately _ just seven goals in their last nine games as Michael Owen struggles to fire in a one-dimensional attack.
That slump has seen them win just once in 13 games _ since they beat the Hammers at home on Nov2 _ so the value here is with the home dogs.

PLAY WEST HAM +1/4; +110 Planet Pinnacle x 2 units

Villa have won eight times at home in 13 matches and are in the middle of a solid patch of form which has seen them win three of their last 5 matches and pick up a point at Anfield.
They should be bursting with confidence after their usually profligate attack netted five away at Boro midweek with Darius Vassell now looking sharp.
Rovers' three away wins this season have come over strugglers WBA, Birmingham and a sensational victory at Highbury when they were horrendously outplayed but somehow emerged with all three points.
It's been a month since their last league win; their defence was bad enough to let the anaemic Sunderland attack net three times in the FA Cup clash and Souness will start Slovakian left back Vratislav Gresko sight unseen to cover injury problems which also have key attacking weapons David Dunn and Damien Duff sidelined.

PLAY ASTON VILLA -1/2; $2.20 Internet 1x2 x 2 units

GL team :)

lost on BOTH accounts:

2003 predicting scores : 0 - 13 = - $260.00 U.S

but remember that 0 - 13 record is the attempted predicted outcome of only 4 soccer matches this season.

recap:

1) Aston Villa to win 1-0 7.50 x 20 = 150.00 bucks loss

2) Aston Villa to win 2-1 9.00 x 20 = 180.00 bucks loss

3) Draw 1-1 6.50 x 20 = 130.00 bucks loss

4) Draw 2-2 15.00 x 20 bucks = 300.00 bucks loss

1) Liverpool to win 1-0 7.00 x 20 bucks = 140.00 loss

2) Liverpool to win 2-0 9.00 x 20 bucks = 180.00 loss

3) Liverpool to win 2-1 9.00 x 20 bucks = 180.00 loss

4) Draw 1-1 7.00 x 20 = 140.00 loss

5) Draw 2-2 15.00 x 20 = 300.00 loss

liverpool won 3 - 0, i wonder what the odds were on that score....? may have been 13 bucks....which would have given us back $260 which would have been alright....

we''ll get em next time.
