ENGLISH PREMIERSHIP

LIVERPOOL -117 v Newcastle United (2 UNITS)
Both teams know a loss here ends any remainng title hopes. But I think Newcastle, after their 2-0 home loss to Arsenal, realise that they have over-reached this season anyway. Their focus is more likely to be on getting revenge v the Gunners in the FA Cup quarter finals this weekend. Without the pace of Craig Bellamy (Ameobi or Cort will start up front alongside Shearer) they may struggle to trouble Hyppia and Henchoz.
If Liverpool can control Robert and Solano down the flanks, they should triumph here. Michael Owen gives the Newcastle defence fits _ 12 goals in 7 games v the Toons _ and the arrival of Nicolas Anelka has given the 'pool the other threat they have been missing since Fowler went to Leeds. Liverpool will be desperate to stay in the race as it seems the Champions League may be too tough an ask and this is a good price for them at Anfield.

WEST HAM UTD -125 v Everton (1 units)
Everton are in a releagtion dogfight and will battle hard. But they are a poor side who struggled mightily to see off Div One Crewe in two FA Cup encounters and not even the presence of Gazza and Ginola  seem to spark them. The Hammers are awful away but have lost just twice at Upton Park and will be out to avenge a 5-0 drubbing at Goodison Pk earlier this season. With Kanoute back alongisde Di Canio they should do the business today.

FULHAM +450/DRAW +240 v chelsea (1 unit hedge)
Good price for the swanky London derby. If Fulham can fix their goalscoring problems they should give a disappointing Chelsea all sorts of problems at Stamford Bridge. Tigana has Fulham playing a lovely brand of passing football and they were unlucky to get beaten by a counter-attacking Liverpool at the weekend. Hasselbaink's predatory skills are the danger if Fulham don't convert their chances.

Hi Anders,

Good to see you offering Premiership Football picks. I am not a big soccer gambler, but do have an occasional flutter. I dont intend on posting weekly picks, but seems you are at it, I agree with you On Liverpool. My bet tonight is a Liverpool/Man Utd double which pays just under 2/1 with Coral!

RE: Man U

RE: Man U

Sorry mate I`m not a big Man U fan either. Or at least I wasnt until I had a ?1000 on at 8/11 before the start of the season. I had given my grand up a few months back, but what a comeback. Their rivals are foolish really for letting them back into it when they should have had no chance.
Liverpool were impressive this evening, but I still think the only danger to Man U are Arsenal.

Will be interesting......
