After opening week, the Edmonton Eskimos defence sits last in the CFL with just one sack.

But that won?t stop them from going after Anthony Calvillo.

?We?re going to try to put some pressure on him,? said defensive end Kai Ellis, the only starter on the defensive line from last season who will dress for Sunday?s game.

?He gets rid of the ball quick, but when you get after him and you hit him, that?s when you can get to him because that?s when he?ll start throwing the ball short and overthrow receivers.

?Sometimes he?ll duck when he?s getting ready to get hit and he?ll open up opportunities for our DBs, so hopefully we can have one of those kinds of games.?

Peach and Romero out

Both defensive end Greg Peach and defensive tackle Dario Romero are out with ankle injuries. While Romero could return as soon as next week, Peach will miss the entire first half of the season at least.

?That?s just the way it is and I?ve accepted it. I?m just trying to recover,? said Peach, who is wearing an air cast.

?It?s just a bad sprain, basically. It?s happened to me before but with the treatment that we?ve got here I?m just getting better every day and recovering pretty fast.?

As a rookie, Peach made 16 starts last season where he finished with six sacks.

?When I first learned about it, it kind of hurt but now I?ve got to move on,? he said.

?I?ve got to get past that point and get better. I?ve still got to stay in it and make sure I?m a part of this team and help out any way that I can.

?You try to look at different ways to make the situation better than it is and that?s a plus that it happened early and I will be able to come in and finish the season and be able to help out towards our run to the playoffs.?
