The LA galaxy FRONT OFFICE IS stoned out of their Gords! And i bet they are giving ESPN another 40 Million to make him out to be SUPERHERO BOY! so they can save their sorry ass league!

I GOT 10 bucks that says he gets hurt in his last few games in Barca, cant come to LA until the season is half over, and hes allready not coming until August btw, and we thought AROD had it good?

and why shouldnt we just go on about ESPN too, what a SHitty station, if they didnt play actual games, id never watch it at all, they over blow everything, over do everything, i mean OVERKILL should be the next new channel they make IN HD TOO! lol

Just throwin my opinion out here sorry, but my god, the guy is MORE than going to be overpaid, ACTUALLY COMPARING WHAT PELE DID ON TOP OF IT ?

Beckham is most certainly past his prime, and in his prime he was no Pele.

But he could do more for the sport in the US than Pele did simply due to timing.

As I understood it (could be wrong), $50M of the contract was for playing and $200M was for other endorsement deals.

Being a soccer fan, I'm not sure what the sport has to do here to succeed, but I am positive that it will. It might not be this go-around, but with the world getting smaller and smaller due to ease of communication and travel to other countries, I think it is only a matter of time to where soccer is part of the "Big 4" sports here.

Just some random thoughts.
