Outright plays (2pts):
Bill Longmuir to win 12/1 e.w. @ SkyBet
Playing these early as I don't expect anyone other than SkyBet to price up this event. Longmuir does have an added incentive to keep trying to the very end this week. There is currently one place left up for grabs for the Rest of the World team in the UBS Warburg Cup and it is between Longmuir and Seiji Ebihara who lies just ?989 ahead of the Scot. So having shown good form recently with finishes of 1st, 4th, 9th and 5th in his last four strokeplay events, Longmuir is finishing the season strongly and a good week in Portugal could see him playing once again next month.
Terry Gale to win 25/1 e.w. @ SkyBet
Simple good form is the basis for this play. Gale has finished in the top-5 in three of his last four starts and on this course last year when he was in the last group on Sunday, but couldn't match Mason's closing 65. If he gets himself into contention once again, this should be a profitable play.
Guiseppe Cali to win 50/1 e.w. @ SkyBet
Same with Cali. He finished with rounds of 63 and 64 to finish 2nd in the Sanremo Masters two weeks ago, his third top-4 finish since August (seven starts). Having also finished in the top-10 on this course last year, this may well be a good week for the erratic Italian.
