If you were a hard core gamer, is there a best ethernet cable to buy or are they all the same? What about a router, what would you buy for someone that is starting to stream? Suggestions? Is the Night hawk a good choice? Thank you everyone

Nighthawk is best.
Cables are all same.
Upload speed needs to be 3 to 4mb per second. No less. Connection is the most important thing in this equation.

Yes it is and thank you. So 5, and 6 and 8 on the ethernet cable not really significant, correct?

Cat5 cable is obsolete and has been replaced by Cat5e and that is what you should use. It'll be in the box with the router.

Maybe someday Cat7 will be the norm.....Cat8 is still in testing.
So if you're in Atlanta look for fiber. Broadband is shit by comparison. :0074
