Singles plays (2pts):
Miguel Angel Jimenez to beat Nicholas Fung -200 available generally
The European captain leads from the front in the opening singles as he looks to continue his undefeated run this week. Fung has lost both his matches so far this week, so this is clearly a step-up too far for a player who was playing on the Asia Development Tour last year.
Jamie Donaldson to beat Prayad Marksaeng -138 @ Stan James and Ladbrokes [available generally]
Marksaeng has rather more experience, but he cannot match the form of Donaldson who finished 2nd in the WGC-Cadillac Championship earlier this month. The Welshman has won both his matches so far and he should prevail against the 48-year-old veteran.
Thomas Bjorn to beat Kiradech Aphibarnrat +115 @ Stan James [available generally]
Bjorn lost heavily today with Thorbjorn Olesen, but that shouldn't make him an underdog in this matchup - they had combined to win on day one and Aphibarnrat has yet to win a match this week. Bjorn has finished ahead of Aphibarnrat in each of their last 10 common events dating back to September last year, so the gulf between them is fairly evident.
Stephen Gallacher to beat Siddikur Rahman -150 @ ToteSport and BetFred [available generally]
Gallacher is in great form at the moment, winning the Dubai Desert Classic again, plus securing top-10 finishes in Abu Dhabi and in the WGC event at Doral so it is no surprise that he is undefeated so far this week. He gets the anchor role should Europe need a dependable player at the death, but I can't see that being necessary.
