And it has worked. I believe closes it came to a loseing bowl season was 54.2%. Has been as high as 64.5%
Why does it work? Don't have perfect answer. Believe it has to do with level of competion and exposure to the games.
Rule 1 play all the Dogs in non January bowl games.
Rule 2 play all Fav's in the January bowls.
Rule 3 if Wisconsin is in a bowl game as a dog play them as that dog.
Keep in mind when I started useing this there were not 32 bowl game. Try about18 or 20. Ya im that old.

Sorry a Mistake I did lose money two years. But dame little considering you get to play every game. I was reminded by my bud we were 50 % twice. And because each game is played at same level we of course lost.

Borrowed this from another thread. Hope c02916 does not mind.
Not the same trend-one new years and one post Xmas-but I thought it may be relevant.

_____________ ____________

I knew there was some stats about how Fav's do pre and post I thought it was New Years Day bowls, but found in one of AR182's threads from last year it's actually pre and post Christmas day bowl games. I took the stats from 03-05 and updated them with last year here are the stats:

Overall from 03-06

Pre X-Mas bowl games

Favorite is 21-3 SU and 17-7 ATS

Post X-Mas day bowl games

Fav is 51-40 SU and 32-57 ATS

Last year in the pre x-mas day bowl games the fav went 5-2 both SU and ATS, the two losses the Dog won outright. And the post X-mas games the Fav went 15-9 SU and 8-16 ATS

Depending on a change or two with line.
19/13 or 18/14 not bad for something that gives you every game with no work and some fun.
Many of the pay service can't say that. And they cost money first.
