Lots of hype!!! Seems legit to me! Is he worth a #1 pick over let's say Gurley or David Johnson?

Yes or No

I say yes.. he will produce behind that line and they will lean on him esp with the fear of losing romo or if they do lose him, it will be the Elliot show

Yea I agree, but it's very difficult taking a #1 on an unproven NFL player! But, yes the situation couldn't be more perfect! I think David Johnson is in for a big season! Not sure I can pass him up for Elliot

I say No. No way would I take him in the first round. Yes Dallas O-line is top notch but I just don't see this guy giving you any better numbers than say Martin, Ingram or Lacy who are all going in late 2nd, 3rd or even 4th rounds. Give him a year and see what happens, remember Morris and McFadden are both still in Dallas too so RB by committee will be the name of the game. Let someone else take the gamble on him this year, not worth a 1st round pick IMO.

Well first crack at it.....7 rushes 48 yards! 6+ yards a carry!! Not bad!! He may live up to the hype......

But, the most interesting story out of Dallas has been this Prescott kid!!! This is going to be interesting as it unfolds....gotta feel very good getting any Dallas players this year even if Romo goes down. I think they'll be in decent hands this season

I say yes.. he will deliver behind that line and they will incline toward him esp with the apprehension of losing romo or on the off chance that they do lose him, it will be the Elliot appear.

There is no doubt that Elliott is a great back....

However he has a maturity issue that may hold him back....

Johnson is a terrific back & a great pick....

My draft is Thursday night & pick 8th....

But it is a serpentine draft which means I will pick 4th in the 2nd & even rounds....

Yea DJ should put up some hefty numbers this year!! Very happy I got him. My initial team looks like this pretty excited!! Let me know how your draft goes.....8th you're prob lookin at a WR there then come back with a RB maybe Lacy or McCoy

QB Brees
WR B Cooks
WR D Moncrief
RB D Johnson
RB C Hyde
TE M Bennett
Flex M Gordon

I filled my bench with lots of RB's! I switch out defenses every week
..matchups!!

I am relatively new to ff....

It seems to me that wr's get more points than rb's....

So why do you use a rb as a flex? I would think it is better to have a wr....

Why fill up your bench with rb's & not wr's?

Thanks....

I've experienced in the past not having depth at RB has screwed me over the course of the season. One way or another they get hurt much more than WRs for some reason at least for me. WR position is very deep you can always pick some up on waivers if needed. RBs talent drop off big time. I did draft 3 WRs on the bench...Sterling Shepard, T Benjamin and T Pryor. All 3 could be legit sleepers. The rest are RBs and 1 QB

Depending on the matchups I will switch up the flex spot

As mentioned before, this is the team that I drafted....

QB....
Matthew Stafford
Joe Flacco

RB....
Ezekiel Elliott
Giovani Bernard
LeGarrette Blount
Spencer Ware
Christine Michael
DeAndre Washington

WR....
Keenan Allen
Donte Moncrief
Jeremy Maclin
DeSean Jackson
Michael Thomas

TE....
Antonio Gates

Def....
Minn

K....
Roberto Aguayo

Made some changes via a trade & waiver pickups....

As Hudson mentioned & I agreed with him, there was a pretty big drop off in my RB's after Elliott....

So I traded LeGarrette Blount, Chrisitne Michael, & DeSean Jackson for Melvin Gordon, Brock Osweiler, & Owen Daniels....My main focus in this was to get a #2 RB & while I gave up a lot, I gave up my # 4 & 5 RB's & my #4 WR....I thought I could make up that loss on playing the waiver wire....

So I dropped Owen Daniels & picked up WR Tajae Sharp who is slotted to be WR1 on Tenn....
Then I dropped Brock Osweiler & picked up RB2 from Minn, Jerick McKinnon....I read that this guy is very talented & will be ready in case Peterson slows down or gets hurt....

I have been trying to get a TE2 for my team & haven't had much luck so far....

Just put a claim in on Jimmy Graham, a TE1 from Seattle who is coming off knee surgery....Heard he is about ready & think he will do well if he is healthy....

I will drop DeAndre Washingtom if I get Graham....

I think I strengthened my team but always will to listen to comments....

DeAndre Washington

WR....
Keenan Allen
Donte Moncrief
Jeremy Maclin
DeSean Jackson
Michael Thomas

TE....

Of course changes will be made....

Very strong!!! I do really like Stafford this year!! Reminds me of when I had Cutler a couple years back....Bears would play from behind almost every game and Cutler was forced to chuck it all game putting up the fantasy points! Lions look to be in a similar situation this year. The only downfall is there is no real "elite" WR there...Cutler had Marshall that year. And you also have to think first year without Megatron will be missed. I think switching off Stafford and Flacco weekly depending on the match up is a good bet! Flacco is another QB that chucks it a lot and has big games depending on the match up.

Keenan Allen and Moncrief are very solid WR's!! If Moncrief lives up to the hype you will be solid there! I'm banking on him too as he's on both my big money league teams!

Your RB's drop off pretty good after Elliott.....going to need one of those guys to surprise or step in for injury at some point. Christian Michael could be your guy there if he gets the chance. Spencer Ware could be a solid start for Week 1! That's where your team is weak is at RB. If Elliott doesn't live up to the hype as expected you're in trouble at your RB positions. He needs to put up L Bell/Gurley type numbers for you!

I have Vikings D Week 1 also......I waiver wire defenses every week. Always good D's on the waivers to pick up depending on the match ups. I like Vikes D even more now with the QB situation for Week 1. They have an underrated D line that should pressure Mariota a lot that day! Hopefully forcing some bad throws and some TO's.....

Overall.....your team is going to be right there all season barring injury! I think the key to your team is Stafford! Going to be very interesting to see what numbers he puts up in the first year without Megatron. I just know the last 8 or so weeks of last season his numbers were insane with the new O coordinator they put in...19TD 2 INTS!! Crazy!!! Solid Week 1 match up at Indy...potential shootout there

Thanks for your in depth analysis,Hudson!!

The first round came down with a choice between Lamar Miller & Elliott....I took Elliott because of Dallas o-line & Houston's injuries on their o-line....

I was planning on taking either Melvin Gordon or Ryan Matthews in the 5th round, but someone took Gordon at the end of the 4th & Matthews was picked right before me in the 5th, so I grabbed Bernard in round 5....

I have been trying to upgrade the running back & tight end position via trades but so far no luck....

I like Stafford also this year....

Thanks again....& good luck this season!!

Elliott was the right choice I think!! Lamar should be solid with Houston!! But not sure he's ready for the load he's going to get like Foster had. He's not that big of a back and wearing down later in the season is a minor concern. He's got a lot of expectations on his back......

GL this season and let's keep this thread going

Good point about Miller....Plus Elliott has a very strong o-line while Miller's has a few injuries....
