Just starting this thread basically and seeking contributions.
As a lifelong mad Gooner, I know where my $$ will be.
Don't normally wager on "my" teams but as I'll either be crushed or rapt after this game, I may as well put a unit on the mighty Arsenal

Come on Stan - guessing you hate both team

Absolutely! Can't stand either team

Pretty sad state of affairs though. A Swede runs our national team and two Frenchmen manage the two teams in the FA Cup Final

Anyway, the most important game of this week is not the FA Cup Final, but Leeds-Valencia! C'mon the Whites!!! The 2nd best team in England ... after Accrington Stanley, of course

Absolutely AV! And they're very understanding about the club vs country thing as well

Still think that while Viduka is a very good player, would be a great deal to make ?16 million on a player in 12 months

we are more than happy if the Leeds scumbag whiners sell all Australians from that point of view

You see the Coventry manager a while back? John Aloisi was a required player when World Cup qualifying was on, despite not being given a game! These guys are unbelievable

Yeah, not very hard those games though - any decent team would.

It is the world game, or it isn't, they can't have it both ways

- don't get me started! If the man was left alone with himself in an empty room for 10 minutes he'd end up smacking himself about
smile.gif

But I love Viduka - had a bet with another big football fan in the office here that he would score 20+ this season for Leeds - cha-ching$$$
Great touch for a big man. And Harry Cool is just breathtaking at times. Have a soft spot for Leeds as David O'Leary was my idol as a player growing up - the cool, cultured centre-back; him and Alan Hansen were who I based my game on. Now I'm older I'm simply the Tony Adams style
biggrin.gif

Also, they have a Kiwi in their ranks too - even if he's only in the reserves; Danny Hay.
While the off-field antics of Bowyer and Woodgate have appalled me, still hope Leeds get a result today and make the final..

Only English team of any interest to me is Chelsea, only because my favorite character in a book I really liked as a kid liked them, and they also started with C, and were the Blues, so I happy coincidence, so just used to read the fine print scores in the back of the newspaper as they slumped alarmingly toward the 3rd division at one stage

Who there centre backs were, would not have known, and would not have cared.

Urghh, the Mincers...
At the stage you were following them AV, Mickey Droy would have been one of their centre backs - didn;t quite fit the cultured mode
biggrin.gif

Stan should remember him...
