Favre, Jets look to avoid 3rd-straight loss

The honeymoon is over for Brett Favre and the New York Jets, as the future NFL Hall of Famer will be trying to bounce back from a big Monday Night Football loss and avoid a third-straight defeat on Sunday as Week 4 of the NFL season gets underway.

New York (1-2 SU, 1-2 ATS) is a slim, 1?-point home favorite against the Arizona Cardinals (2-1 SU, 2-1 ATS) and the over/under is 45 in betED.com NFL betting odds.

Favre can take some solace in the fact the Jets are 3-0 SU and 2-1 ATS against the Cardinals in the past three meetings, although the teams haven?t met squared off since 2004.

Favre threw two interceptions in a 48-29 loss to San Diego last Monday, which was the Chargers first win of the season. Heading into the game, Favre was 18-15 on Monday nights, including a 19-13 win at Denver last season.

San Diego covered as 9-point home favorites and the score flew over the 42-point total.

The Cardinals, meanwhile, lost to the Washington Redskins 24-17 as a 3-point underdog in Week 3. The score went under the total of 43?.

Other action Sunday includes the Green Bay Packers taking on the Tampa Bay Buccaneers. The Packers will be without Pro Bowler Al Harris, who has started every game for Green Bay since joining the team in 2003. Harris suffered a ruptured spleen in a loss to the Dallas Cowboys last Sunday, and could be out for the season.

The Packers (2-1 SU, 2-1 ATS) were 3-point home dogs in the 27-16 loss and the score went under the total of 51. The Buccaneers (2-1 SU, 2-1 ATS) beat the Chicago Bears 27-24 in overtime as a 3-point road dog last Sunday. The score went over the total of 35.

Tampa Bay is a 1?-point home favorite at betED.com and the total is 43.

Also Sunday, the Washington Redskins (2-1 SU, 2-1 ATS) visit the Dallas Cowboys (3-0 SU, 2-1 ATS) in an NFC East matchup on Sunday.

The Cowboys are an 11?-point favorite and the over/under is 46.
