Recap - Last Night 2-0, +5.0 Units

Caught a break last night on the Cuse/Memphis Under as Syracuse forgot how to shoot the last 8 minutes:D ...Bama was money though.

Tonight

Texas -4.5 (local) (3 units) - Texas returns all 5 starters from last year (post Owens' injury) and word has it Fr Buckman may crack starting lineup soon (maybe tonight). TJ is silky smooth, JT is a horse inside and this team is deep, very deep. Georgia is extremely athletic, but the loss of C Thomas and the 1 game suspension of F Daniels leaves the Dawgs much smaller against solid UT front court. Texas flat out plays defense and rebounds, and that may frustrate UGA. Respect Hayes, Hayes and Williams, but just like Bama last night, Texas has a huge edge inside and gets it done tonight.

Marquette -3 (local) (2 units) - Well, Buchanan is a big key here, but even with him, would go with Marquette. Villanova was a frustrating team last year. Flashes of brilliance, and then a slew of turnovers led by Derrick "Turnover King" Snowden. Marquette loses Cordell and two other starters, but love Wade's athleticism and this team flat out played hard and smart last year. Merritt, Diener, Transfer Jackson should be enough tonight. Villanova freshman class is impressive, but don't think they are not gonna matter tonight. If Buchanan definitely out, may bump this a unit, but for now, we'll leave it at 2.

Good Luck

Agree with you Fresh. Think the Horns will struggle shooting, but will make up for it on the glass.

First off, thanks for the comments. It's about time I made a contribution around here. Glad to be off to a solid start.

Second, pretty dam lucky. I think the Horns would have covered handily if they didn't go to the 4 corners with about 6 minutes left and a 7 point lead. What was that all about?...I don't get that, but file that away if you are ever considering Texas as big chalk this year.

Third, TJ is flat out awesome.

Fourth, time for a beer.:D

Finally, thanks Jim. Couldn't have done it without you.
