blame TD, im lost?

blame TD, im lost?

four guys went 4-49 and two spurs missed T fts, let alone 6 billion other things, scapegoating the MVP is a bit of a reach .. I had ML spurs and it hurt but TD is not at fault, when he sat the last 3 mins of FH it was all nets

OKay, I taped game and

OKay, I taped game and

for the geniuses I checked ...

DYK that TD got control of ball with maybe 1.2 secs and Parker and Ferry werent even close to being behind arc while Jefferson and KMart were on top of Gino ... but I get it, I guess Im a moron anyhow for actually having the facts ... jeesh if you guys are gonna whine, take cheap shots at me or TD, and make wild comments least have some ammo ...

Maybe he was hoping for foul?

Maybe he was hoping for foul?

He probably knew time was up and took a WTF shot hoping for a foul shot for a three point play? TD is a savvy competitor...

That was a heartbreaker of a shot for some; and a big thank you
gambling gods for others...we have all been there...get em next
time...;)

pt1gard, I like you man,and I'm not trying to be disrepectful.I did not tape the game, but let's be realistic here. This is the NBA. These guy's should know the game situation. Let me give you a couple thing's to consider, ammo if you will.

1-If there were 1.2 sec. left when TD got the ball, why didn't he call time-out? 1.2 sec. allow's you enough time in theNBA to catch and shoot out of a time-out.

2-TD should have known or been told by his coach that in case that very senerio were to occur to tip the ball behind the arc, that is the ONLY chance they have to tie the game.THE ONLY ONE.

3-You say Ferry and Parker were "no where not even close to being behind the arc",for TD to kick it out to. WHY NOT!!! For them to be inside the 3 point line is as stupid as TD taking the shot in the first place.

4- If you will forget for a moment that this is a gambling forum, and also forget that alot of the people here and Joe Public got reamed on that play.(losing by 1 or a 1/2 point). What logical reason did TD have to put up that shot.I mean "Why put up a shot at all"? These guy's in the NBA play all season long, and they have been in that same situation several time's in their live's. Even High school kid's are in that situation. There is no reason for TD to do what he did.

5-I've won on fluke game's before and I've certainly lost them. When a person loses a game like that he doesn't want to hear somebody who had the other side talk about"What a great handicapping job was done", or "I don't see what your whining about". I think common sense would tell someone that if you won the game(from a gambling perspective),you were very fortunate. If you lost, well you got screwed. I for one feel better when other people who got screwed with me can vent a little, along with me. That's all anyone was doing.

6- Congradulation's on your winner

#1 i didnt have the winner, i lost like many others ... im lost where you got that idea since i stated i had ML spurs

#2 TD was never even close to being on balance to control ball and call TO (his teammates coulda called it for him much easier if in fact it was possible)

#3 Ferry and Parker were moving toward ball/rebound and already inside the 3 pt line--someone has to fetch it

#4 when people want to point fingers at things in a game that "cost" them and I see it and think its wrong that's what this forum is about and why we are disagreeing here ... It isnt a personal thing you vs me, which sometimes I think some people feel, I just occasionally reply with another POV

If you think that TD has any blame for that loss and they had a chance to win there then we obviously agree to disagree

guys, I had the nets -2.
and i'm pissed as everybody else that TD made a chippie to cover instead of going for the tie.

but, who the **** left manu ginobili open for a 3?

that rebound shouldn't have even been made had there been enough pressure on the arc.

pt1gard, you obviously didn't read my post. If you did you failed to answer any of the point's I made, exept to say TD did not have time to call time-out,he was off balance and out of control. But he was in balance and in control enough to make a shot "all net" from just inside the free-throw line?

Also pardon me,for not realising you had the moneyline as opposed to the +2. I would also like to point out,I NEVER said TD was to BLAME for losing the game. An idiot can see the Spur's stand no chance without him. My point is you NEVER SHOOT A 2 POINT SHOT WITH LESS THAN 2 SECOND'S LEFT WHEN YOU NEED 3 TO TIE!!!

IN ALL DO RESPECT, GIVE ME ANOTHER POINT OF VIEW ON THAT!!!

if you step back i think UC that 90% of my comments werent pointed at you, it was people initially trying to place blame on TD like he coulda done something with a magic wand to win that game... c'mon, thats nonsense NO ONE was going to win that game after Gino missed, to belabor it any more is nonsense ...

do you think anyone in NBA wouldve done anything with that play, and if so, like i said earlier, we agree to disagree ...

to ask anyone, MJ, Bird, Magic etc. to make perfect plays with tenths of seconds left and no options to turn a L into W, then i have to laff ... IMHO TD couldnt have called TO b/c he was in crowd, struggling to control ball which he barely had on putback--how in the world do you get your feet set, maintain control of ball, and signal for TO in 1.2 secs (let alone there was no one to tip it to).. ive watched the friggin play 10 times & that's how i see it ...

If fans and bettors think these guys are marvel comic book heroes and can do all that then capes should be part of their uniforms

I know you arent blaming TD for the L when four other donuts go 4-49 ... I think i answered all your pts in a basic philosophical vein ...

i don't think he was asking tim duncan to miraculously make them win, however, i think he meant that what the hell are you going
to shoot a two for when you are down by 3! its stupid! you can't possibly keep arguing against this...give it up man and let people be mad for losing..i know i would if i had put my money where i thought was gonna win, cuz i picked the nets -2

New Jersey was up by 3 with 4.8 seconds to go, and nobody I mean nobody expected it to end the way it did. I really thought that it was gonna go to o.t. or the Nets were gonna win by 3. I'm sure everybody else was thinking the same thing. So, some people are pissed and come here to vent. What's wrong with that?
