I don't post very often, but, thought I should go ahead and put this up now.
The final between Sam Houston St. and North Dakota St. is a rematch from last years final.
Not much has changed with these two teams. North Dakota St. brings a strong defense and Sam Houston will run up scores on fcs schools. If you take a look at the Sam Houston St. schedule, they played Baylor and A&M. Didn't play poorly against either of them (23-48 and 28-47). Lost to Central Arkansas 20-24 on the road.
North Dakota St. Played one school most of us are familiar with (beat Northern Iowa 33-21). Lost to Indiana St. 14-17. Playoff games were all lower scoring affairs.
I live about 3 miles from Pizza Hut Park Stadium where this game will be played. The North Dakota St. faithful have been coming in with their huge RV's custom painted for the school (looks like someone is doing well in this economy). You would think that Sam Houston St. would have the fan advantage being closer in distance, but that wasn't the case last year and doesn't look to be the case this year.
Tempertures will be cool this Saturday. 45 degrees gametime, winds SW 5-10, 20 percent chance of rain.
Last year, North Dakota St. won 17-6. I remember last years game being a rather windy day.
Total on this game comes out at 49. My inital reaction is that the total is rather high for this location and Championship game.
Maybe no one cares, but, just in case, hope this helps.
